    Stallings to Pitt

CBS sports is reporting Stalings has been offered the head coaching job at Pitt and he is expected to accept. I would say he would be wise to accept it.

I must say I'll be surprised if he takes the job. He must have had other offers down through the years. I figured he'd retire at Vandy.

Pitt fans must be livid. Thought they were getting Sean Miller, wound up with Stallings. OOF!

Coach Stallings may not be the worse coach in college bb, but if Pitt wants to be relevant I don't know why they'd consider him unless they can't do any better.

Hadn't realized he had been at Vanderbilt 17 years. He had some decent teams at Vandy, but always seemed like his teams underachieved. In any event, Pitt fans aren't gonna be happy and it's hard to see him succeeding in the ACC with the record he had in the SEC.

Talk about failing upwards. He was on the hot seat at Vandy of all places and landed at Pitt.

Their fans have to be livid.

Apparently, Stallings to Pitt is a done deal.

                    Farewell, Kev. 17 years.

Does that make Cal the longest tenured coach in the SEC now?

Not sure. How long has Fox been at UGA?

Correct you are. Andy Kennedy it is.

I think Stallings will do a decent job at Pitt. He should be able to recruit just fine. Both Dixon and Stallings always under achieved in the NCAA tourney and I believe that Stallings will probably continue to under achieve.

Good riddance, just don't like the guy. I don't know what Pitt is thinking, but without Vandy's academic standards, he might recruit better players? But, who cares?
