    Conference Tournament Thread

We have this thread every year so lets do it again. Post your thoughts on the conference tournament games that get into full swing today.

Most of the big conferences get started today. The ACC has a big one going right now. Pitt leads Syracuse early in the 2nd half. Must win for Syracuse and maybe for PItt too. This tournament is in DC. I have no idea why its here since Maryland has joined the Big Ten. But I'm sure its sold out as this tournament has more tradition than any other.

SEC gets started tonight with one game. Tenn vs Auburn. I wonder if you count up all the Auburn and Tennessee fans whether they will out number the UK fans that will be there tonight?

Also if WKU doesn't win their conference tournament UK will be the only state representative this year. It will be the first time since 1991 that only one Kentucky school has gone to the NCAA's.

A lot of number one seeds have gotten beat in the mid major tournaments. There could have been a couple of bid stealers in that group. Monmouth will probably get an at large bid and maybe Valpo too.
    Kentucky fan since 1971.

Apparently ESPN is doing this weird thing during the Pitt/Syracuse game where they're lighting up the three-point line whenever a three is shot.

Doubt that will go over well. ESPN's tried a bunch of stuff to enhance the viewing experience and it's almost always terrible.

Who could forget the "sky-cam" that they tried out a couple seasons ago.

      Good God, that was horrendous.

I got "car sick" watching that. That had to be the worst.

About as bad as Seth Greenburg interviewing coaches while the game is going on.

Also this weird thing ESPN has where they think we want to see the coaches' faces while the game is happening. I don't want a box-in-a-box showing me how Cal is frowning. I don't want low-angle shots from the corner of the court. I just want the game.

Pitt up 10 with 4 minutes to go. Boehiem may want to get his NIT tickets ready. WKU up 12 at the half against North Texas.

The Big Ten has a couple of "Big" matchups today. Minnesota plays Illinois and Rutgers goes against Nebraska. I think I would rather have dysentery than watch those two games.

Syracuse somehow came all the way back to cut it to 1. The scout Brian Snow claims that Pitt might've been involved in some point shaving to let that lead slip away. Not sure if he was totally joking.

But the Panthers hang on, 72-71. Boeheim to the NIT and Pitt to the bubble.

              Duke plays next.

Pitt survives by one. Apparently a wild finish with Syracuse coming back but falling short. Syracuse awaits the NIT selection show Sunday night.

Add St. Mary's as a team that could get an At Large bid. Crazy year it has been though I don't believe we will see a 16 beat a 1.

Yep I knew I was leaving someone like that out. The Wiltjer Zags won their way into the show last night by beating St. Marys.

I had no idea the Sabonis guy from Gonzaga was the son of the NBA guy. Arvydas Sabonis was a good player for Portland. Had some serious skills for a big man. It seems he has taught his son well.

Haven't seen Gonzaga play this year but you could tell Sabonis had some good talent like his father.

                        Looks like WKU will advance.

Duke/NC State underway. is this the first time Duke has played this early in the ACC?

Boeheim may've peed himself during the Pitt game.

                            What the hell?

I hope he had a water bottle between his legs or something.

Incontinence happens at that age. Didn't he have Prostrate surgery a few years back?
