UK has one of the most creative video teams I've ever seen, but whoever's in charge of the audio and the in-game experience needs to be reminded that the '80s are over.

At least they semmed to have gotten the word over at Commonwealth. It was just a few years ago when I was there for a game and they played "Cold Hearted Snake" by Paula Abdul. Of course opposing fans were laughing at us. It was rather embarrassing.

I guess I'm too old but I was not familiar with that song at all. I had to look it up on Youtube. The UK band used to play Gimme Some Lovin' all the time. Do they still do that one? I know they were doing that one back in the mid 70's.

The band occasionally still plays that.

It's more awful than "Mony Mony" and completely takes the crowd out of it.

Obviously they do this for nostalgia's sake, and the Rupp crowd tends to be a little delicate in terms of changing stuff up, but surely they could do better than this.

That incident could be a liability issue for the dancing guy, Rupp Arena and UK. In my 46 years in the Insurance business, I've seen folks get rich over a lot less. Especially attorneys.

How old is he? How long has he been season ticket holder doing this? Sometimes when the cameras pan to him he makes me laugh/smile...I was concerned the other day tho, glad both are ok.

He used very poor judgement, in my opinion. Juking around is one thing, taking a minor on a ride down a handrail is something else entirely.

It's not his fault they still play those crappy songs. It wouldn't matter what is being played, the guy would still dance. I happen to like it. He is having fun and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Granted, he won't be sliding anyone down the railing again, but let the guy have his fun. He isn't hurting anyone. Resorting to name calling and bashing the guy is a little over the top imo.

He's creepy, annoying, and he's a laughingstock to other fanbases.

His little performances are embarrassing, and I know I'm not the only one that hopes it stops.

Not to mention a middle-aged man should never, under any circumstances, be picking up a teenage girl that he doesn't know. I don't know if he's mentally unstable or perhaps retarded, and if he is I'm sorry, but you've gotta use common sense.

I feel bad for the guy. He obviously loves UK and has enjoyed doing this over the years. Now he is likely to become an internet meme. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

He did use poor judgement but the guy is just having fun. As long as he learned his lesson I have no problem with it. I would hate for us all to act like clones at these games. I have more of a problem with the people who never look up from their phones than I do with this guy.

I'm going to put an "amen" on this.

Guy made a mistake. He's got some problems. He's a tad strange. But I like people who get into it. Was at a game in Rupp once and two guys talked about their professors for the entire two hours of the game. I'll take Dancing Guy.

Matt Jones said today that he was told UK will not stop him from doing his dancing routine. However, he cannot slide down the railings any longer and (obviously) can not pick up any more children.
