I just want UK to do as well as possible. I have no allegiance to Pope in particular. No matter who was coaching, I would always want UK to do its best. And that's mostly in the games and tournaments. But you have to want to do well in recruiting to a large extent to make the game success possible. That being said, I wouldn't care a bit if Pope or whoever our coach is gets raked over the coals by the media and fans for perceived recruiting misses....as long as we're still winning the games.

I always want UK to do as well as possible, period. I can understand South Jones frustration with the wait though. I was expecting to hear something by today, at the latest, and now it appears that isn't going to happen.

I'm not so sure. I'm to the point where I think the haters (of UK, meaning other team's fans) have been so successful in calling UK fans "crazy" and unreasonable that Kentucky (fans and those in charge) have been guilted into being "tolerant" and in accepting mediocrity.

        We shall see.

First off, I want the Cats to win every.game they play regardless of who the coach might be. If MM can come in and contribute to that, I'm all for it, BUT if I'm recruiting MM (AND I HOPE WE GET HIM) I inform him and his agent, this is what I can offer, I've given you my best pitch and best offer and can't do any better. You accept it or I'm moving on.

MMs 136 3s last year, while impressive, didn't take Arizona St very far. With MM on board, will you be disappointed if the Cats go out the same?
As BThaunert said it was Iowa State. And he had 20 points against us in an absolute beatdown in the second round last year.

The point is, the Cats have a better chance not to go out as early with a guy who is of the caliber of MM. I'd take my chances with more talent than less talent.

Ryan Hampton is visiting later this week. Class of 2027. Has considered reclassifying, but then said he wouldn’t. If he is coming to visit now, it might be a last ditch effort to convince him ($$$) to reclassify.

If that is the case, then I think things have gone south with Momcilovic.

Hampton is the better athlete, but lacks experience and is nowhere near the shooter that Mom is. And 2 inches shooter.

              This reeks of desperation, IMHO.

But I may be reading too much into it.

I don’t have much hope for us getting Momcilovic.

And based on Pope’s recruiting thus far, I don’t think we will get Hampton either.
