One thing for sure, McBride and the USC center visit went quietly. I have not seen any pics, any news on anything with either guy. Funny how that goes with Pope. If I were either one and the others got better treatment I would just go on to the next school. I would want to be wanted and not a oh, I missed my guy but you will do kind of thing.

      Agreed.

I don't think Pope knows how to keep his emotions in check. One thing that has always annoyed me about him is how he handles the post-game handshake greeting with the opposing coach. If Kentucky wins, he wants to be nice, chummy and have a short conversation....but if Kentucky loses, he blows past them without making eye contact. He needs to be as gracious in defeat as he is in victory. If he doesn't want to have small talk after a loss, what makes him think other coaches do either? It's just part of the game. He needs to be better at handling disappointment.

KSR Happy Hour talking about portal, Stokes and Tyler Thompson said Jacob P, bringing up a 6'11" international player. It is on KSR plus and I do not subscribe.
Also said jamal Crawford turned down an assistant job at UK originally and is now thinking about it again. Said he was an assistant coach at Stokes HS this year.
Said McBride cancelled his other visit (louisville) and will make a decision soon. They expect tomorrow and he will choose between UK and no other option, UK. I think I might go the other option. lol
Justin Burke they talked about him coming back.

Jordan Burks, maybe? Isn’t Justin Burke on our football staff?

Jordan looked like he turned into a baller in the few games I watched of him this season. I'll take him for sure if all else fails... but does he have any eligibility left?

It showed he was a JR this year. But I cannot find where he is in the portal. Did UCF lose their coach?

Found an Instagram from 4 hours ago that states he is in fact in the portal.

3,114 likes, 77 comments - transferportal on April 23, 2026: "UCF forward Jordan Burks has entered the NCAA transfer portal, Pete Nakos reports. Burks averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this past season.".

Nevermind, it looks like he was only a junior somehow so he's eligible. I'd take him in a heartbeat. Doesn't fix our PF problem, but you start him at the 3 and make Kam Williams the 6th man. Both could play the 4 in a pinch.

Burks averages 13.3 ppg on 45.5% from the field & 37% from the 3 while playing in the Big 12. Yes please. Get on it Mark, start reaching out now.

J Burks game would fit the Pope style. He is a mobile big. Has shot as high as 40% from 3 in a season and shot 37% from 3 last year. He is strong and can drive and post up. Not huge on rebounds but would still take him. If we got him and McBride at the 4 it would be very serviceable for that position. Would really be a compliment to Wilkens and Diallo.

Yup, I see him in the portal & you're right he was a junior this past season.

Off topic, but were the rumors of Christian Anderson from Texas Tech being in the portal fake news? I never saw him listed anywhere at any point in time.

1 more thing that's random & off topic. = John Blackwell said he picked Duke because he wanted to play on the ball more "and that's just not something I was not able to do at Wisconsin" .... does he not realize Duke has 3 point guards & he'll be playing off the ball again? How the hell does Scheyer do what he does? Duke chokes in embarrassing fashion year after year it's become a tradition at this point, yet players keep leaping at any chance they get to go play for John Scheyer. Weird if you ask me. I get that it's Duke & they probably have a decent sized war chest, but it's crazy how they literally get any & every player they want. (Yes, I'm salty)

Per UCF he played the 4 this year and flourished. Before he was playing more of the 3 at Georgetown and only averaged 5.4 ppg.

I thought he started at the 3, with Stillwell at the 4 and John Bol the starting 5.
                            But
I don't see too many forwards or centers on UCF's roster so yea, I'm sure he played a large chunk of his minutes at the 4.

I'm not gonna get my hopes up, Pope probably won't even show any interest. Smh

Senagalese forward Ousmane Ndiaye is on Kentucky’s radar, per Jacob Polacheck.

Ousmane Ndiaye (born March 19, 2004) is a 6'11" (211 cm) Senegalese forward/center known for his mobility, perimeter game, and 3-point shooting. As of 2025-2026, he has played for Vanoli Cremona in Italy's LBA, having previously developed in Spain with Baskonia and Palencia. He is recognized as a high-potential international prospect

This is not portal but heck this is where everyone is going. I will post on Roster as well.

He's been on draft radars for years. But Ousmane N'Diaye suffered from a lack of playing time early in his career. Regardless, he has true NBA potential as an athletic, switchable floor-spacer.

Sounds like Tyran stokes to Kentucky is about a done deal. Pope threw the bank at stokes to the point he can’t say no. Mark pope has never coached a first round draft pick in his head coaching career, & UK hasn’t been to a final four in over a decade. Nike wins again.
