If it is the JMI deal that runs through 2090 or what ever the time frame is at this point, then no coach of any quality will ever come to KY to coach. If JMI deal is hurting Pope it will hurt Rick, Cal, Self or any other coach. So why would anyone want to come to KY.

The best thing the University of Kentucky could do...is hire the absolute best legal team money can buy..... and fight this JMI monstrosity. The sooner they can get out from under it, the better. Maybe they should pursue legal charges against Mitch for getting the university into this mess in the first place!

Only a rumor that Zoom is headed elsewhere. Players using KY to get more from the schools they actually want to go too. University also signed a huge NIL deal with Fanatics for 12 years 250 million.

Players have been using Kentucky as "the other choice" for decades.... literally as long as I can remember. The first time I really remember this happening was when Ralph Sampson had it down to UK or Virginia and chose Virginia. I've forgotten more times that UK was the bridesmaid than times I can actually remember the choice being made for UK. It became fashionable decades ago and kids are still doing it....only now any money involved is legal (wink wink...LOL).

Really nice player. He can absolutely stroke it from deep....he torched Kentucky from beyond the arc in March Madness a few weeks ago.

Speaking of players who can rip it from deep and one that also had a 47% three point shooting percentage....Brett Decker, Jr. just signed with Scott Drew and Baylor. That kinda sucks...I don't even think we got him on campus. I could see him being that Koby Brea that we really missed this past season.

Stein the football coach has the same JMI deal and is killing it in the portal and recruiting. He just picked up a commit from the #2 QB in the 27 class. Pope just doesn’t have it I’m afraid.

His first & hopefully only visit, he'll be there at the same time Stokes is there. Not even going to get my hopes up, I still think they won't get either.

Is the JMI deal bad enough that they can't get any star players at all? Pat Kelsey hasn't done a damn thing... ever.. And he just landed Bidunga so it can't just be Mark Pope is the reason that not many players appear to want to come to UK.

Has me wondering the same thing. I don’t even buy Pooe being somewhat of a lame duck coach as being a deterrent since these kids are really only obligated to one season anymore anyway.

Kentucky going all in on Diallo Stokes Wright and Freeman. They want all 4 Freeman will visit Tuesday. He gets all of those 4 we are cooking with gas. The next 2 days will determine if Pope gets a 4th year or not.
