Woah, didn't see that coming. I live in Denver, but not a big NBA guy. Nug fans seemed to like him while here, but most coaches will be liked when they have a prime Jokic and Murray.

Not sure how he will translate to college. Assume they will have to load him up with assistants who can recruit. Honestly, not a hire that really worries me with unc taking off. The last couple blue blood coaching searches have been eye opening for me.

Former Denver Nuggets coach. Won the title with them in 23, but was fired during 25 season.

No experience as a college head coach.

Out of left field. Another school totally panicking when their top 2 choices say no...sound familiar?

It sounds like their top 9 choices all said no.

Shocking but NC can’t wait on guys to finish the NBA season with the portal opening up tomorrow. If Pope can’t get it done next season you have to make a run at Donavon one last time. I think we have a better shot at landing him after a 3 year average at best run.

Kentucky couldn't wait on Donovan two years ago, so we can't single UNC out as being impatient. And as far as Donovan goes, apparently he's going to either have to be fired, or quit mid season... because he doesn't seem to have it in him to leave the NBA for a head coaching gig in college like UK or UNC. Could that reason be because he doesn't want to return to college?

I am a big believer in actions speak louder than words. Donovan can tell people he likes this or that college job, but his actions aren't exactly lining up with that at all. If two of the biggest brands in college bball aren't enough to get you moving from the NBA, then I don't think anything will
