Having worked in higher education for the last 25 years, individuals in those positions often have someone to parcel out emails that shouldn't take the time of a VP/President.

My biggest issue is things like taking away more parking around football over and over again not giving the everyday fan a tailgating experience. Only having giveaways at the men's basketball game for those that sit in the lower level. When alcohol was first offered at Kroger Field, only offering it to the areas where the donors are sitting...one seat over can't buy alcohol for what reason? Those are ways you lose the common fan.
I don't doubt that he didn't see it but the fact remains that someone in that office did and acted on it. Delegating assignments usually comes from the top.

I agree on the parking, we're probably going to lose our tailgate this year and I'm not happy about that either. On the whole he's done a lot of good for the athletic department. AS far as alcohol goes I don't care. I'm glad I don't have a bunch of drunks around me at the games. I've been to Papa Johns Stadium enough times to see plenty of drunks that keep walking in front of me to get beer and to get rid of beer.

I agree that he's done a lot of good for the athletic department. I think I mentioned earlier that anyone in a position for 24 years, regardless of their industry is going to make good and bad decisions. His are just a little more public than everyone else. As for the alcohol, my point was more about having it for sale in the elite seating areas, but not all areas. I'm not here to say it should be sold either way, but you either sell it to everyone or you don't sell it at all. Only selling it to the ones with money, and the way he explained it, gives a perception that the rest of the fans aren't elite enough for alcohol.
