Looks like Jasper is ready for this level.

Dont want to take anything from our Cats. Lots of positives here. But Purdue? Their main parts are not new. They’ve been together a while. If they’re the best team in the country…we have a real shot.

I’m not going rush out and buy FF tix, but my excitement level is pretty high.

I don’t want to overreact to an exhibition game. I kind of get the feeling that neither team quite played the same rotation or ran the same stuff they would have if the game counted.

That being said, you have to like most of what we saw tonight. The ball moved pretty well on offense even without Lowe in the lineup, we knocked down some shots, and Johnson and Moreno looked ready to contribute. Defense was ok. We did some good things at times, but I also thought Purdue’s guards missed some good looks that they knocked down way more often than not the last couple of years. Hopefully that’s something we can improve on once we get everyone healthy and have time to build chemistry.

No JQ no Lowe and we just getting started.

I never felt not one time Purdue was close to making a game of it.

Dykes changed his tune quick in the second half.

                        Newsflash!!!!
Moreno Johnson Noah aren't your typical Kentucky kids who come to Kentucky, sit on the bench, happy and proud just to be there, these kids are legit and came to play!!!!

That was fun to watch tonight. Not much tension on my end. Just watching a team with depth wear out a good team. They were missing shots due to the tiredness of their group.

Freshmen played well. Garrison spotty like last year. Chandler not shooting well again. Mo and Aberdeen elite defenders. Vastly improved rebounding team. Finally UK is big, I mean really big, size and length really bothered Purdue

True. Never saw anyone in an Amari Williams role—no big setting up the offense at the top of the key. Maybe that’s just not in the works with the new personnel? But I doubt we really saw the full package from either team.

Can’t wait to see how the offense unfolds with a PG who by all reports can get wherever he wants to get.

And I thought the interior defense was pretty stout against veteran bigs even without our most dominant defensive interior player. Although we’ll see quicker footed bigs in conference.

Going to be fun unless the injuries really pile up.
