That makes sense on the academic side, but I don't recall that affecting athletic eligibility.

It would be no different than a fairly smart US recruit taking college credit courses when they are in high school. I think that happens a lot. But I don't remember the NCAA taking a year of eligibility away for it.

I think they are docking him one year of college eligibility for the two years he was a pro.

Maybe so, but then why mention that it's due to the college coursework he took? Just say it's because he was a pro.

Only guarantee from this ruling is that it will be different for the next guy in the same situation. It’s the NCAA.

If the next guy goes to Duke he’ll enroll as a junior but have 5 years of eligibility.

          But—I’m pleased with this ruling.

Hey no one can tell why the powers that be do anything. Young guy should be on a two year slot...a year to get used to the athleticism of the US game and a year to polish.

Coach Pope had to put AJ on the stairs yesterday from what I read. He instructed AJ to shoot and AJ said something back, AJ was sent to the stairs to walk it off lol lol lol..

I don't thinl it's a big story or anything like that but good to know Pope isn't soft on these players in practice...
