I really only watch college basketball and football, but some others: Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, UConn’s women’s basketball, World Cup soccer, Olympic gymnastics, Olympic hockey, Wimbledon, The Masters, College softball World Series, Little League World SeriesComment

True, except that really...as much as I hate to say it ....since 1987, the correct choice for college basketball would be UCONN (SIX national championships to Kentucky's THREE). Don't shoot the messenger.Comment

Kind of an aside, but Nebraska football is a weird one.
I saw a video of the game they played last year (or year before?) in Ireland, and it was an absolute sea of Nebraska fans. We met some folks once on vacation from there and said on gamedays, the state pretty much shuts down.
The fact that they've been so dog crap for...what...20 years or more is WILD to me given their tradition and what they were in the '80s and '90s.👍 2Comment

College basketball - Kentucky. National championships and runner up / final four seasons consistently throughout the decades, most all time wins, and highest all time winning percentage. Kansas and North Carolina are next. UCLA had most of its success in a relatively short period over one coach, when it got to the final four through a mostly uncompetitive region.
Pro basketball - Boston Celtics narrowly over the Lakers, with slightly more championships over a similar time frame. I’m not sure I’d argue hard with so robe saying the two are tied.
College football -Alabama, with the most championships, and they’re spread over time, and they’re in about a tie for best winning percentage of a time, despite playing tougher schedules than the others much of the time.
Pro football - Green Bay Packers. Most championships, by far, and they’re spread over time. Most wins, and best winning percentage. Most of us of a certain age wouldn’t have guessed that when younger.
Baseball - New York Yankees, with by far the most championships, well spread over time.
Other sports - none of them really matter.
