    I just don't care!

perhaps he could finagle his way in to the MC gig on college draft night
We all should have known what was coming with this shyster. 2010 ,he made a absolutely asinine statement .five , of his one and done players ,were drafted in the first round . Then he publicly announced, this was the greatest day in the history of Kentucky basketball.

How can he impact 20-30 more families if he’s only going to stay 1 more year?
Maybe the anesthesia from his hip surgery helped push him into early senility.
LMAO ! Bo Ryan applied the anesthesia that helped push him into early senility. Along with WWW moving his interests to the nba instead of “influencing “ kids on their college decisions. Yeah we still got top rated recruiting classes after WWW stopped being a “friend of the program “. But that was mostly based on the number of freshman coming in. We weren’t getting the elite of the elite anymore. And Cal must have the elite of elite to get to a final four. Add in an NBA lockout and he can win a championship, lol .

He's the one who opened up Pandora's box lobbying for players to be paid legally on the books. The reasoning for his one and done nature was to make kids millionaires asap. Using his NBA /Kentucky resume' enabled him to sell a dream for a fast pathway to the NBA and money.

Now that NIL can actually do everything at a collegiate level, Cal can't sell that dream anymore and he's mad...

Where's a Chris Farley meme when you need one? For the love of God Cal, just retire man and enjoy life. Spend some money, have some fun, get away from all this crap.

          Bo Ryan ate Cal's soul.

There was nothing left after that game.

I hope he does have a bad year this year and get out of coaching. Don't want him around the UK program in any capacity or form.

His best hope to find top talent now is to be able to offer kids more money at the college than other schools because of Arkansas’ backers. That should be his strategy, but somewhere along the way he quit being able to adapt to the changing landscape. There’s really no other possible advantages for him now if he’s only laying out an equivalent amount of money as other similar schools. “I’ll get you to the NBA faster,” is no longer that much of a selling point. And if the money is the same, his lack of top level success will cause the type of players he’s recruited in the past to look elsewhere.

Also, Cal once was known for his top level success with point guards and centers. That was part of his brand, but he’s faltered on success in that area in the last five/six years. Wagner and Fland are prime examples of losing that edge. I think both of them were considered obvious one and done players when they came into college, but look how that turned out. Cal’s kinda lost all of his promotional tools. Can’t sell on the idea of a fast NBA jump. Can’t sell on the notion of having the best pg or center in college. Can’t sell on tournament success. I’d almost like to see Cal find his mojo again. Arkansas being a truly competitive rival of Kentucky like it once was is good for fandom and the storyline sells itself.

April 3rd, 2012 was the exact date.

By April 5th, 2015, it had calcified into the "prevent offense".

It was all down hill from there.

Well put. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Definitely a big blow to the whole deal. Huge. Add in the worsening staff, and it’s easy to see why we started dropping games to bum teams and never made it back to the FF.
