I don’t think he’ll make it another 4 years there.

At this point, four years is an eternity; he isn't making it another two years.
The value of time is beyond computation. Life is too short to be trifled away. We have but a few days of probation in which to prepare for eternity.

"We can't be coaching against 28-year-olds. Are we nuts? ... We're getting away from freshman recruiting," Calipari said.

Translation: The one thing I am great at is now meaningless with older players in the portal.

Definitely undercuts what Calipari chose to make as his identity.

When we started having so many transfers and lack of players staying beyond 2 years, it showed me that the players no longer saw value in the coaching staff being able to develop them individually.

So Cal's only role became that of well placed billboard...displaying great talent with pomp and circumstance. If that failed, well, you gotta go somewhere else to learn how to play.

When Cal finally revealed what his priorities were as UK coach, he was dead meat as far as I was concerned.
I don't care if he leaves or stays in coaching.
                I just don't care!

perhaps he could finagle his way in to the MC gig on college draft night

How is giving the kids the opportunity to make a million or two or more while in college hurting them? Why is he griping about kids transferring causing them to not be able to graduate on time when his hallmark was never about getting kids through to graduation? How can he impact 20-30 more families if he’s only going to stay 1 more year?
Maybe the anesthesia from his hip surgery helped push him into early senility.

Jokes aside, he never seemed the same thereafter.

Does anyone really believe he wants to be in Fayetteville? It sounds like he’s laying the excuses in for an exit soon.

I’ve said the same thing for a while. At the very least it took some of his energy/umph.

He meant to say "we're getting away from freshman starting".

In the article, he meant to say that he can't make an impact on his freshman getting drafted. The guy needs to insert himself into that baby walker, and paddle downhill.

It's ok. There are plenty of dogs that need walking. Some are even younger than freshmen.
Going forward, Christian Laettner volunteers to catch any dildos flung on a basketball court - or anywhere else.

Who’s stopping you Cal? Recruit all the freshman you want. Recruit ‘em, sign ‘em, start 5 of ‘em. Help those families. Tyson money can change lives too.
