Love to see him here too for the same reasons. Not sure how to navigate this board at all yet so it's been difficult to see who may have shifted to this board from RR. Just learned how to quote another post like I did with yours but that's about all I know so far. Trying to see now how to get back to home page, lol. Learning process.

This is VERY stripped-back software. We made that decision years ago when we got hacked. Basically we went the cheapest route because it made the most sense at the time.
There are notifications up on the top, but I've never used them as there hasn't really ever been a need to use them. Not enough posters. I would imagine like a lot of the tech around here, it's very janky.
This is a message board in the old-fashioned way, just sort of post-and-read technology. That has always worked for us in the past.
HOWEVER if this board stays at this level with this many posters, changes may have to happen to upgrade. This will be no cost to any of you but it's something that's been discussed. We need to see how On3 lures people back and what our member count remains at in the coming days/weeks. There's some wait-and-see happening right now.Comment

Also I don't believe this software would hold up during the season. Game threads would be very janky and the opposite of user-friendly. If we keep a large number of posters, which I hope we do, we would have to make a decision in the run-up to b'ball season. I don't see any way around it.Comment

Also, to find posters you can use the @. It'll bring up a list if you @ and start typing in a username.

I think most will end up staying here. I know I will. And I highly suspect that many others will continue to migrate here in the coming days. There are lots of folks who are active during football and basketball season that don't hang around the forums much during the summer months. Many will try to log-in to Rivals and realize they no longer have a home. Naturally, those people will also eventually find their way here too.
I hate that the influx of new users is going to cause you guys so much extra work. But I guess this is one of those cases where this is a pretty nice problem to have. Hehe.Comment
