The ON3 site is not my favorite, I go there for news headlines but rarely read the articles as you get the gist. The articles are usually tons of words to explain nothing more than the headline. I think they are staring to panic now that they see the fan backlash. I think even lots of House of Blue subscribers are voting with their feet. Paying 10.99 a month is a different animal than being forced to pay $120 in one lump sum. And I think the lack of communication between the powers that be and the members over there has just soured a lot of people in general when it comes to On3. They really botched this merger about as terribly as possible.

I'm going to stick around here because I don't trust the folks at On3. They might indeed make Rafters free again -------for a little while. But just as soon as they get the traffic back up to a high level like on the old forum, they'll slip the "pay to play" thing right back in. You can count on it. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, so they aren't gonna bait me back in using that tactic. I'm just going to stay here where I feel welcomed. On3 had a chance to do this right. It isn't our fault they messed it up so badly.

I moved here yesterday from RR and absolutely love this site. The mods have made everyone feel so welcome and it is very easy to navigate.
I ain't going nowhere, I've found my new home.

The Political Forum was going to be my next question. I didn't see one quickly scanning around, but I'm still feeling my way around so I likely missed it. I know the Poltical forum on RR was very heavily used, with about 20 regulars, 100 posts a day, and was very right-leaning. I'm curious if those folks will migrate here or what.

Sounds like the Political forum is sort of.. self-regulated? That's good to hear. I agree that there shouldn't be personal vendettas, spamming, and the like (even if I have some myself).. but I also believe in the openness of forums at the same time. Still, this seems like a solid spot.

This could be a change for the better. One thing I always hated about Rivals was the long leash they gave trolls from other teams.

In 20 plus years I have rarely seen that except for BROTHER VOL and he's alright.
