The Political Forum was going to be my next question. I didn't see one quickly scanning around, but I'm still feeling my way around so I likely missed it. I know the Poltical forum on RR was very heavily used, with about 20 regulars, 100 posts a day, and was very right-leaning. I'm curious if those folks will migrate here or what.

Sounds like the Political forum is sort of.. self-regulated? That's good to hear. I agree that there shouldn't be personal vendettas, spamming, and the like (even if I have some myself).. but I also believe in the openness of forums at the same time. Still, this seems like a solid spot.

I can grant you access if you'd like. Our PF users probably cover a broader spectrum than you're used to seeing at RR, but all are welcome. If things get out of hand, we'll address it as needed.

Interesting. I found the moderation far too lax to almost non-existent. It's sad that (probably) adults can't be more respectful in a public forum and avoid profanity and crude jokes and metaphors. When you act like children, you need a babysitter.

We aren't heavy-handed, but you will notice differences compared to what was allowed at RR.

I hope that doesn't make any of you reconsider your decision to join us, but the founders of this board worked really hard to maintain a bit of decorum, and out of respect for/in honor of them, we try to keep it that way.

Nobody freakin knows. They just showed up one day. It's likely just some kind of weird quirk vbulletin uses with this particular model.

I'd say the more stars added have to do with post count. I mean that counter over there tells me I have 40,615 posts. 40,605 of those were mediocre. Seven of those were kinda halfway interesting. But three of them? Three were absolute damn gold.
