To me the crowd really doesn't get up unless it's a good run or sequence of a big play. It's almost like everyone is in OBSERVATION mode, not up ,not down, just watching and waiting, very critical of every moment, just not hyper enthused over mediocre play...

Spoiled fans? I do believe most fans have been around long enough to distinguish good and bad basketball which may be why the crowd doesn't really get rocking unless it's a special moment happening.

    Maybe it's unrealistic the expectations?

Instead of enjoying the moment everything is under the microscope.

I agree with all. Other fan bases at other schools are wild especially when Kentucky is in town. Our fans just sitting on there a$$ with a checklist of every little imperfection...

The craziest thing Rupp people do, and I learned this back when I had season tickets in the uppers for a few years, is leave early.

And that's not just lower arena people. Hundreds upon hundreds of upper arenas leave too. And in big, close games!

There was a guy who had season tickets beside me who'd start screaming at them as they walked out.

1:23 mark is when the lineups are introduced.

Don't get me wrong, I like the intro music, it gives me the feeling of "this is it" or "ready for war" feeling but also feel these is the time to get the whole crowd rocking, even the players..

I agree, Cal was spot on about that.

These teams come in here trying to knock our head off for real..

              Often? Try usually.

Rupp is a morgue, and it will never change. The SEC tourney crowd is what we need.

Agreed. How could they possibly fix it, though? I guess they could hold a lottery for all season tickets all year? I wouldn't even have a good guess on what to do.

They can't, and more importantly, they don't want to.

As long as blue hairs pay the big money for lower level seating, Rupp will be what it is.

And it will just keep on being passed down from one generation to the next.
