For me the emotion is the thing. Gotta stick it out to feel the adrenaline rush of that W.
Have a Purdue friend and he sends me "I'm dying here" text after long texts of his anxiety throughout a close game. I'm like "Dude, Purdue is up 5 with 2.x seconds to go, really?!?"

I wanted to give you a photo that simply said “ISIS” and see how many here would remember that.

Here’s what it looks like though, and sometimes it tells me that the website isn’t trusted. In the latter case it won’t let me view it anyway.

If we’re down 9-7 in the first three minutes I’m saying, “@$!&, we’re toast. It’s over.” Then the second we take a five-point lead it’s, “Folks, we can beat this team.”

It’s like that all game long.

do They all return the same 503?

That’s how I felt the last 5-7 years….except 5 pt lead needed to be 15.

this year has been the opposite. I’ve been optimistic up until it was out of reach (10+ under a minute).

I received error 503 for each.

I fully expect to receive “Stop visiting the site too much, you’re too involved!!!” soon though 😉

Very odd you’d receive it for the second one. Hmmm….. let me ponder it.

Our daughter was born during the 2017 SEC Tournament Championship game. Literally during the game. I was checking my phone in between contractions.

Wait, you allowed your wife to go into labor on a day UK was playing?

Honestly? It's not that difficult to move a lot of life events around if you're in a family of UK fans...or even a family where people understand they've got some UK fans so they check around to see what's what. We do it all the time.

Not births (lol). But it really doesn't take a lot of mental or emotional time to check a calendar, check the dates of games, and say, "Nah, let's not do it that day because UK plays, let's look at another day."

Where that becomes difficult is when you don't have a family who's all on board, so they just go rogue. I was lucky to marry into a family that checks the calendar. It's rarely ever been that big of a deal, and I'm in my late 40s. We've been doing it for literally two decades with all kinds of stuff.
