Can we just not do the nickname thing?

If it's not organic, it's cringe.

Rupp's Runts. The Fiddlin' Five. The Unforgettables. The Suffocats*.

Those are the only nicknames I'll ever accept.

Now if this team went on and won the whole thing? Sure, they get a nickname. But otherwise, you don't get one. It's not time to anoint them yet like that.

              * And I only love that one because whoever thought of it is a genius.

                This.

And if any of you thought I offered a serious suggestion above, shame on you. You don't know me at all.

                    Going back to Tennessee.

It's obvious that if they have a chance to win, it'll come down to Chaz Lanier.

Lanier has hit 10 threes in two NCAA Tournament games. In the two games against Kentucky this season, he was 3-17.

I think it could be as simple as: if you stop Lanier, we win. If he hits 4 or 5 threes? It'll be very, very tough.

If Kentucky can score in the high 70's to low 80's I believe they will win. I just don't think Tennessee can consistently score that well. 37-40 points per half will likely win this game. We beat Tennessee twice scoring 75 and 78 points. Tennessee did beat Bama 79-76 in a game that Bama chocked that game away.
Brea hit three 3's both games. Almonor has been a big factor with hitting four-3's and two-3's.
With Kentucky being better defensively I like their chances.

I’ve always heard that one as the moniker for the ‘98 championship squad.

Looks like in the SEC season, they scored over 80 three times. They won all three.

We held them in the low 70s and the low 60s in both our wins.

This is why I say Lanier playing well is the key. Because if he scores 20, they likely can get to 75+, and that's how they win this game.

Hold him down and I don't believe they have the offensive playmakers to get the score where they need to get it.
