They were only "wasted possessions" because half of those missed shots were wide open layups.

He could chill with the back down baby hooks, but DUNK THE BALL when you're on a fast break or right under the basket.

Even with that, Amari really did a great job yesterday. His defense on Z was great, and more than that I just thought he flat wore Z out. By midway through the second half Z looked like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world than that basketball court.
I loved the "dunk, block 3pt shot, dunk" sequence. LOVED IT!

I love Williams. But he doesn’t shoot the ball. He chucks it. In the general direction of the rim.

CBS really chose the Ole Miss/Michigan State game over Kentucky/Tennessee???

              Yep. More of a throw.

And it's ironic for how skilled of a passer and ballhandler he is.

Amari got me in trouble on that first miss. My wife was asleep in her recliner and when he missed that shot I yelled out, Dunk the dadgum ball and woke her up. I was much more careful when he missed again.

Hopefully Chandler can have a good game against them.

                    Yes, he's an added wrinkle.

At this point with only 16 teams left you are gonna be playing one of the best 16 in the nation right now.
                      just happens to be Tennessee.
It's all gravy now guys....of course, I love gravy.

Chandler has turned into a completely different player. I can think of nobody in recent history at UK who's gone from "Can he even play?" to being a guy you look forward to coming off the bench, and to do it in the last three weeks of the season.

His shooting was a complete unknown before just a couple weeks ago. And just as importantly, yesterday he was guarding Riley like his hair was on fire, switching off to other guys...his size gives us a dimension that Perry obviously doesn't. Plus: he's fearless.

It's a wild turn of events.

Chandler is a prime example of "what in the world is he doubt out there" working out.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that after a summer of practice and weight training Perry will be in that spot next year, and Noah will continue to develop.

Perry is never going to have something Chandler has, height. Big difference in a guy who is 6'5" and a guy who is 6'1." Will has said it before. We need Perry to get insanely strong so he can play bully ball out front.

Perry is one of those guys that's going to have to rely on his wits. If he can develop a first step where he could cut to the basket it would help. I am concerned about overall speed/quickness though. His defense against good college P4 guys is really suspect. Zone would likely cover a little of that.

I think he can be a contributor, but it's not gonna be as quickly as Noah or Chandler...

And strangely that's inside out of what most of us felt early on.

It is wild. I have to think his age and athletic ability is what sets him apart.

Now that the shot is falling, he is a weapon off the bench.

Good stuff, still reminds me of young Jeff Sheppard
