There really are quite a few Kentucky fans that championship or bust guys. Just the way they're wired. Gotta say Dan Issel may take exception to that...with quite a few dozens other guys.

If it's pure pro...yeah.. I can see that. Maybe that's what the college thing is, but just not the way I enjoy things.

With the pros it's hard to follow the team all the way through the regular season. A person might be a "fan" of a team and really not even experience many of the ups and downs. Too many games to tune into.

College is way different. We can kind of plug in in November, follow them through, and then come to hopefully April with a feeling that we stuck with them and experienced the full range of emotions of being a fan.

This is why a team like 2014 was so sweet. Because they were PUTRID up until the last week of the regular season. Then they just found that magic.

But they didn't win it all. I still remember that run as clearly as I remember any other we've ever had here.
