I tried to argue this a few weeks ago and I was dismissed.

Was the conference really historically great, or was it filled top to bottom with similarly above average teams that just kicked the crap out of each other for two months?

I don't think anybody in the league was "garbage," outside of maybe LSU, but there were a lot of similarly above average teams.

When you start lowering expectations and settling for less, you get the last 5 years of Calipari with many UK fans actually believing it was all okay(alot still do)

Some of my favorite teams here didn't win it all. A handful didn't even get close.

You've got to stick out the team, watch them grow, follow them closely, be part of their ups and downs...that's the best part of fandom.

If they win it all, it's magic. But just because they don't win it all doesn't mean it's not magical.

My favorite teams were the early 2000s Tubby teams. Not a Final Four one among those teams. I liked those teams WAY more than the 1996 team that steamrolled everybody. Felt more of a connection to the players. Paid more attention to the games. Got closer to the team.

Winning it all is just a benefit, it doesn't make the experience what it is.

I liked the 2014 team, one of the more memorable experiences of my life. And that team didn't win a title...plus they were an absolute mess in the regular season.

Every experience as a fan is different. So many of these teams over my lifetime have been memorable and fun and awesome in their own way. Only three won a championship. That's *a lot* of failures if you're going down the ol' Championship or Bust road.

I gage it by Championships with exceptions.

UK team that lost to Wisconsin or 97 loss,still great teams without the title.

Maybe the word garage is a little harsh but still, I think we can all agree we want titles.

Let's be honest, we didn't run Tubby or Cal out of here for nothing lol 😆 😂
