Bucknell beat Kansas in the first round sometime in the early 00’s. Didn’t Northern Iowa or something like that do it, too? It's odd how long this tourney has been going and there are still firsts...McNeese State had its first win ever. Kansas had never lost in in round one.
Also brought out how the transfer portal/NIL have shifted the game. Drake looked really good. And four of their guys were D-2 transfers. Charles Barkley pointed out that is amazing how many really good ball players were out there few folks ever hear of.Comment

Amir Khan, McNeese St.'s hype man, manager, bouncer, and probably coach, becomes a March Madness celebrity. They call him "Aura."

I don’t think I dislike him anymore. He’s definitely a slime ball, but in today’s world, who cares? What’s he doing that others aren’t? Is it that he doesn’t shy away from the truth of the game?
More and more, I find his honesty pretty refreshing. And again, he’s a heck of a coach.Comment

The way I see it, coaches who were brazenly cheating (or working the grey areas) in the 00s / 10s were the good guys.
Everybody was doing it. I think there's something to be said for guys who did it in the open and didn't really care what the media or the NCAA thought.👍 1Comment
