Random observation about the field: Maryland's Derik Queen is a wild player.

Hadn't watched him until yesterday. He's 6'10" and has guard skill. They basically throw it to him and just clear out on most possessions, and he's a horse. Just a game-wrecking type of talent.

I haven't been able to watch much college basketball this year. Really over the last few years life has just changed. I think I've caught every UK game minus two this season, which is the best I've done in about four years. Most of that was because Cal nearly ruined it all for me, but work and family have taken priority. My wife and I have been together a little over four years now and, for the most part, we just work. Like, 90-100+ hours a week each. We both own our own businesses and we own one together.

I lost my dad a year ago tomorrow. He worked until he was 65 (six days a week and 24 hour call for 43 years at his job) got sick at 67 and died at 69. He got to enjoy his life for MAYBE two years after all that work. So, we've decided to take just an ounce more time for things that we enjoy. This year, it's opening weekend of the tournament for me. I have no plans Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I'll hit Rupp for the games Saturday depending on who it is. Other than that I'll be hanging out at the house, doing a little spring cleaning, and watching basketball.

I'm so out of touch with things in life that I just found out Greg Gumbel died three months ago. I saw someone post that it wouldn't be the same without him announcing things this year and assumed he retired.

I was watching the UL-Duke game last night and as soon as it was clear Duke would win the announcers, including Dickie V, went all giddy over how Duke deserves the overall #1 seed and they picked Duke to win it all. It was sickening and I turned it off.

I didn't tune in until there was around 4 minutes left...

Unless Duke gets their star player back they won't win it all

Great point and good for you. Life is way too short to be caught up in the rat race we call life trying to control things out of our control, hope you get some rest and have a great time.

I have to remind myself that my company would have a job opening posted before my obituary.

Could care less about our seed today, just glad we made it with all the injuries and a brutal SEC this year.

Still, hope we can manage two games and a Sweet 16. It's been so long for KENTUCKY during this NCAA win drought, ready to turn the page.

IMO it was their resume that kept them from a higher seed

Auburn overall #1. Mississippi State an 8.
                              BYU
                              a 6. Vanderbilt a 10 seed.
So ....Alabama is the 2 in Dukes bracket.
2nd game could be Vandy/ Alabama.
