The Brea foul on the three pointer didn’t help either.

Be careful Bill. My end of the state is experiencing flooding as well, but I doubt it’s as bad as your experience

I didn’t realize Brea had struggled this bad in our losses. Three point shooting is terrible in our losses

Kentucky only hit six three-pointers vs. Texas, a common theme in their losses this season; Koby Brea didn't hit a single field goal.

I honestly think that was the most disappointing loss of the season. Worse than Arkansas. Still thinking about it this morning.

Mainly because it was so winnable.

The stretch beginning at about 4 minutes was unbelievably terrible. It was like Bad News Bears stuff. Pope in the postgame particularly lamented that turnover I mentioned above. Then the blown box-out by Amari...I mean that's just Basketball 101.

You might not get literally any of these games going forward except LSU, so that one was essential. That we just wilted is super disappointing.

If the worst happened, that would put us at 18-13, and losers of 10 of 14 down the stretch. Would that get us in the tournament, even with our quality wins?

I dread even thinking about it.

I think his biggest mistake is forcing the ball to Brea when he's having an awful game. You can't go to a guy who had the first 39 minutes he did and expect him to light it up at the end. Brea doesn't have that trait of not letting the misses bother him. Last night I would have much rather had Noah in his position at the end of the game.

Yes, we would be in the tournament even if we lost all the rest. (I'd say we'll beat LSU though. Not sure about any of the others.) With second-best-in-the-nation 8 Quad 1's we're a tournament lock. There are teams with 1 Quad 1 win and multiple Quad 3 losses they've got in right now.

Tournament commissioner mentioned Kentucky's injuries yesterday during that bracket reveal show.

Probably because of Brea's unbelievable close-out to the Tennessee game.

I think it was just the little things. Amari's missed free throws. Oweh's missed free throw. The turnover. The missed block-outs. Just simple basketball and all you have to really do is make one of those plays and you probably win.

I think we were up 4 with 2 minutes left. From that point, we made unbelievable mistakes and handed the game to Texas and their gun.

We were up 1 with 2:00 left.

Oweh got a drive to the basket, may've been fouled, but put up a tough shot that laid on the front of the rim and fell off. Texas got the ball out of bounds and on its next possession, the gun leaned into Noah and got the foul. Made the first free throw, second one they offensive rebounded and the guy dunked it. Four-point Texas game and that was pretty much it.

One good thing I saw in that game was Pope's zone. It looked good when he stayed with it. Probably should've used it more. It was pretty effective.

No matter the score, we were in the game until all of a sudden, the wheels fell off and we were done.

Score 59-58 Kentucky with roughly 7 to go and Williams misses his free throw and grabs his own board but the ref calls a BS call, all you really need to know about this Texas game.

If we don't beat teams by 10+ or more, we probably not going to win, the REFS this year has done us no favors at all.

I have a question, did MARK POPE physically go $$$ in the refs cheerios before the season started?????:?
