I think Donovan's wife has expressed her wish to live in Florida before.

Same. If I could get medical supervision and afford it, I would start a cycle today...

I spent almost 2 weeks in Sarasota this past February. Never thought about spending time there in the winter. Next year, if possible, I'm spending a month and see how things go. Would love to live there a couple of months in the winter. No more than that. Feb and March sounds good.

Florida has a lot going for it there is no argument on that point but I was reading that Florida is in the top 10 in crime rates for all of the states. A lot of it is younger thugs preying on the elderly who moved to Florida for their health. That being said I doubt Donovan ever leaving Gainsville.

I'd have to check, to be sure, but I'd say the crime statistics are skewed by the high crime rate in and around Miami.

The Donovan era appears to be ending.

The Beat of Sports ‏@thebeatofsports 17m17 minutes ago Sources: Billy Donovan in advanced contract talks to become OKC coach. He is expected to take the job. Apparently has notified Foley.

This blows my mind, and I'd say it blows Jeremy Foley's mind as well. I wonder who they'll turn to now?

Probably will make a run at Gregg Marshall.

Hard to see him taking that job given what he has coming back at Wichita. Wouldn't be surprised if they ended up with Archie Miller. He strikes me as Donovanesque in a lot of ways.

For a quick fix they have two former head coaches on their current staff,Pelphrey and Grant. It might be tough to get someone better at this late stage.

This move, if it happens, will hurt the SEC. Until the SEC Universities hire and hold onto quality BB Coaches, the conference will remain a weak sister to other power conferences.
