Goodman: Donovan Will Accept OKC Job if Offered

Could be the end of a very long, pretty incredible era at Florida.

Scott Brooks' vacated seat is still warm, but the Oklahoma City Thunder have wasted little time in hunting for his replacement. The Thunder were said to be interested in pursuing an NCAA coach, with Connecticut's Kevin Ollie and Florida's Billy Donovan the first names to surface.Ollie, who ended his playing career with the Thunder in 2010, reportedly withdrew his name from consideration, leaving Donovan as the nominal frontrunner. And unlike Ollie, Donovan appears interested in the gig and will accept it if it's offered, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman. In his 21-year college coaching career - the last 19 of which have come on the Gators' bench - Donovan has compiled a record of 502-206, made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, advanced to five Final Fours and won two National Championships. The Thunder are also rumored to be considering San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina for the job.

Read that his wife may veto a move to OKC. interesting to see if he actually goes through with it this time.

Unless the Bulls win it all, Tom Thibodeau is the sure shot hire for OKC. Rumor has it the Bulls upper management is at odds with Tom and he may be on the open market sooner or later. The only positive to Billy D possibly going to OKC is that NBA experience for Donovan could set Kentucky up down the road when Cal decides to leave or retire. I am still very intrigued by having Donovan in Lexington one day before it is all said and done. With the way Miler has performed overall out in Arizona, I think Billy D. gives Kentucky the closest thing to the sure shot moving forward down the road.

If he's going to let his wife call the shots, concerning where he works, I doubt if we'll ever see them in Lexington.

I was born in Ky., and have lived here my entire life, but I'd move to Fl., in a heartbeat, if I could.

                    Everything you said and more.

Certain parts of Florida are nice to visit; but I would NEVER want to live there. No state income taxes would be nice though.

Apparently you all are a lot younger than me, and you don't suffer from arthritis. About 6-61/2 months out of each year are miserable for me.

In my early 40's now and am starting feel it at times to be honest. Since I am not a pro athlete and if I could afford it, wouldn't bother me to get on HGH if it was legal lol lol lol lol lol.
