If you’re looking for a silver lining it’s probably that Cal generally coaches better against guys he hates. The smack Hopkins talked early in the season might turn out to be a thing in this game that works in UK’s favor.

More pressure on Hopkins to prove himself than Kentucky. Hopkins had a good year being the focal point but don't play in the SEC. I will go out on the limb and say if you get that hungry back against the wall disrespected Kentucky team that shows up every now and then with a chip on its shoulder, you never know what could happen..

Kansas I get. Even with the conference tourney loss, they still finished the regular season with something like 18 quad-1 wins. That’s unreal.

But A&M? Buzz is probably big pissed, and rightly so. Further evidence that the SEC Tourney has no bearing whatsoever on NCAA seeding.
