Well I love the bracket we are in. Hard games yes but we could win 2 (if the right UK team shows out). Glad we play Friday. Makes my Thursday a fun day. Just get to watch games and have some fun. Will have 3 TV's going at one time. Fun Fun Fun.

As predicted, big house party at Calipari's house watching Selection Sunday like no big deal, I hope they ready to go to work, this is it...Comment

Providence comes in having lost four of their last five, including an absolute spanking to a bad Seton Hall team last week.
This team's ripe for the picking...but who knows with Kentucky.
I don't love the second-round match-up simply because Keyontae Johnson is a nightmare match-up for us. Plays like Jordan Wright. I don't expect us to get through that game even if we get to it.
But I'd still like to get to it simply to get this March curse that's suddenly loomed up on Kentucky off our backs.Comment

I fully expect UK to lose its first or second game, but there is a path to the Final Four. I truly wouldn't be surprised by anything.
But, what if Providence knocks UK out and Hopkins goes for 25 and 10 😬Comment

He made the point (which I agree with) that what happened last year was a first in his career. But then he started talking about something interesting, and it was that he had to be loose because the players will react to him.
I've thought Cal gets too wired during games sometimes in March. I think this is why you see the free throw issues. Even the other night I thought the team was super tight all the way through. Even Oscar looked really nervous.
This is meaningless really because the guy is still paid to produce, but I honestly do think Cal is feeling a lot of pressure right now. I don't want that to sound like I'm apologizing for him because nobody feels sorry for him. But I think it's an issue...and it could easily be an issue Friday night.Comment

I saw a little clip of Calipari talking about the pressure that's on UK in the tournament.

I'm not sure the Hopkins family would have been okay with him playing behind Jacob Toppin.
Could've played him at the 3 maybe. I don't know what position he plays for Providence but he didn't quite look like a 3 here. It was hard to tell though with the minutes he got.Comment

I liked Hopkins last year but the guy got his shots in. There were times he almost looked like a gun.
I think what he's saying is that Cal took him out when he did that. With Providence he's been able to play through misses and mistakes.
Understandable that he says that...but then again, I'm not sure letting a freshman who isn't a star be a gun was the right play on last year's team? Maybe he lets Hopkins play through some stuff and he's the key to getting us out of the first round. But I never saw anything in him that said, Man, that guy needs to play more or anything.👍 1Comment

Sure, he probably wasn't gonna get many shots, and there was a logjam with him, Brooks, and Toppin, but Cal is the one that keeps putting these rosters together. But, alas, with the transfer portal almost every team is gonna lose a valuable player these days.Comment
