UL players are probably looking forward to this game more than UK players and if so, it is sad.

It will tell us nothing. We've beaten bad teams this season already and it's done nada for us as a team.Comment

UL beat WKU by hitting a lot of 3's. We can expect the same game plan from them because that's the only hope they have. And UL can win this game.John 3:3

If we continue on this trajectory, we will not be in NCAA tourney.
I wish Collins would go home; he should of taken a leave of absence from basketball considering the circumstances. Prior to his dad passing, we saw glimpses of his improvement; after his dad passed, the few min. he gets to play, he looks lost. I wouldn't be mad if he entered the portal and transferred to a school closer to home (Texas Tech or UT). What "could've been" we may never know, but due to his circumstances, there is more to life than basketball. I can't begin to imagine how a 20yr old playing on the big stage for a blue blood program could compartmentalizeComment

IMO - Collins is exactly one of the issues with this team and/or Cal's selection of players. He's long, tall, can jump, and has very limited basketball skill. As I hate that the kid lost his father, I don't think that has anything to do with his lack of talent. The kid can jump and that's it. He's frail, gets pushed around, can't shoot well, can't rebound well, can't catch lobs (not always his fault when dealing w/bad passes), last year he couldn't stand up half the time, never plays with D with his hands up and so forth... Sure, he looked good in the Bahamas. Kid just doesn't have it.
Basketball is a between the ears sport for the most part though. Whether it's what happened with his father or just his general demeanor, he looks like one of these guys who just floats around without a function. Kentucky's had several of those players over the years. Alex Poythress was one.
I hope Collins stays because I think he could be valuable, but probably as a role player. It's very hard to keep those guys in the program though as we all know.👍 1Comment

I won't link it because I know so many don't want to listen to Cal, but in his pregame press conference today Cal spent the first part of it talking about chemistry. He definitely seems to suggest there's something going on and that a part of what we're seeing is guys having trouble with themselves or maybe each other.
Also says there's "basketball stuff" happening but he definitely dug into the chemistry thing a little.Comment

Have no idea if that is connected to his performance as a coach and it's not right to speculate what's going on, but one has to wonder if it's related to how out of it he seems.Comment
