I think you're going to see at least a degree of it, but the spatter online and in media is going to be rough. Calipari has made a lot of people mad over the years and you better believe the Jeff Goodmans of the world are priming up to kick him in the face.

The media won't be crucifying UK Fans like they did with Coach Smith, either. It could become crazy. All it would take is a For Sale sign or worse something cleverly humorous to catch fire and become viral.

That's gotta be a hard blow when you have the ego that Cal has. To be labeled as a has-been, a failure, mailing-it-in. A faux HOF'er.

Ugh, I'm annoyed with the whole thing this AM. It's worse than it has to be, even if things were still on the downslope.

It's tough because he's done SO much good lately, off the court. I don't think there's anyone in the country that could have done what he did for the tornado and flood victims on both ends of the state. At least for me personally, I will ALWAYS hold the man in high regard and will not tolerate blaspheCal (trying it out...does it work?) in my house.

Unfortunately a big part of this job involves on-court stuff.

I am not sure that group as a whole gets here. Heck I would not want to play for this coach or this fan base right now. It is a timebomb and is going to blow sooner rather than later.

Jody, I agree wholeheartedly. He's been phenomenal off of the court, he truly has been. If he were a BCG type it would be easy to wish for the era to end now by any means possible. Since that's definitely not the case it would be great to see him realize the inevitable and come to a close in a way such that the fans will be gracious / friendly / fond.

His history suggests otherwise, unfortunately. Dude leaves places as veritable dumpster fires and I'm afraid UK will be the same....

I saw several posts on twitter last night talking about NIL....players are getting their money so they don't care whether we lose or win

              I doubt that’s true.

Toppin is kind of pathetic at this point.

                And Torres is spot-on, sadly.

Oscar was asked if the team Chemistry is where it is suppose to be and he said no and we have a lot of work to do

I listen to Torres’ podcast and as annoying as I find him, it’s hard to argue with a lot of what he says.

He likened Kentucky to the Dallas Cowboys in that they win a lot of games but none that matter.

                      I've thought about this.

What complicates it is that guys all over the country got NIL deals. And some of them are balling out. So the idea that Kentucky's players would be coasting simply because they got paid...I don't know if I buy that.

I don't discount it as a possibility, though.

Toppin's one of the softest players Calipari has had at Kentucky. Unbelievably weak.

UK's players also did a lot of things, much of which was amazing and noble, prior to the season.

I'm not that moved by Cal's charitable stuff because that's part of his contract. And coaches all over the country engage in charitable causes and so on.

Not saying that I don't like what he's done here but to me it doesn't move the needle much. I'll guarantee the next guy we hire does much of the same sort of stuff.

I can appreciate what cal does but it doesn’t make me revere the guy, he’s paid to coach basketball. Cal does do more than previous coaches have done, at least publicly.

But again, that’s not what he’s paid for. He has generational wealth for his family and a platform to do all that stuff after he’s done coaching.
