The missed trip and the call on the UL player were just bad.

Sounds like Kenny Payne will announced as their next head coach this Friday. How do you think he will do there ? First time as a HC but he very obviously has earned it, and usually was seen as one of the top assistants in the country.

I believe he will be just fine as long as UL gives him enough time to recover from whatever the NCAA levies on them. Short term, I can't see a significant improvement.

My thoughts exactly. Just a bad time to go there. If they fire him for missing the tourney in his 1st couple of years they’re just as stupid as I think they are. With time he’ll be fine. Steal Wagner away from Cal and he may even surprise some in year 2.

I like KP and as long as he doesn’t go full heel like Rick Pitino I wish him well unless they are playing us.

I like him, but he’s Louisville’s coach now. I hope he loses every game.

I won’t cry if he does.

Me too. Especially once he hires Milt and steals DJ.

There’s just too much for KP to overcome in the Wagner recruitment, imo. I’m not worried about that at all.

^ I certainly hope so. What a kick in the bottom that would be. I do think that if they can ever get past the looming sanctions he can recruit very well there.

I see it as a choice they had to make and also as a choice that could be amazing. He's 55 and if they passed on him this time around, it would likely be too late. He's also young enough to have a heckuva run there if things go well.
