More from Eric Crawford who states that sources are saying UofL and coach Mack have already been in secret talks about his future as the bb coach.

I kinda wonder if the Dino Gaudio affair in addition to the violations reported thereafter will give them an out. I kinda wonder if they’ll go the UK/Billy Gillespie route and fire him and then settle out of court.

Bendapudi and Tyra are gone. Ethics are gone. Sleaze will return and the fan base is hungry for the return to normalcy. Satterfield better have his lawyers ready too.

It would be surreal, yet somehow oddly fitting, that UL would hire Pearl. I'd have to see it to believe it.

I'd say it's all over but the announcement.

Mack was an up and coming big name who left a pretty good job to come to Sleazeville when they were on probation for Slutgate and being investigated for FBIgate. He was not fired for the Gaudio debacle. He was fired for losing. The next coach will be stepping into the same situation other than his bosses may be more in line with the school’s traditional interest in winning over ethics—this is yet to be seen.

Perhaps the job will be viewed in a little better light though as the schools who have received their sentence for FBIgate have not been hit that hard. But they have not been already on probation from earlier acts. Probation should mean something. But this is the NCAA. I can see Pearl having interest in UL as his past is in line with theirs. But this would be an awful strange time for him to leave Auburn. Pitino may be interested. Petrino may be willing to be his assistant.

                  What about calling Kevin Willard

                    Mack ain’t getting $12 million.

What’s interesting is that Nick Coffey, who is a Louisville radio host, is saying Mack might be the one who initiated the conversation.

In my opinion at the end of the day it’ll be Kenny Payne who winds up coaching there.

I just have a hard time seeing Louisville hiring someone with NCAA violations in their past, given their current situation. Also worth noting Louisville doesn’t have a permanent president or an AD at the moment.

The article I read said he probably would get less than 1/2 the 12 mil he's owed. Why would he take that much less?

The two articles I've seen both say Kenny Payne should be the first person UofL contacts.

I’d hate to see Kenny Payne there. Not that I wouldn’t wish him to do well personally, of course. But dang I’d hate to see him on their sideline.
