Can't have Boston, Clarke, Sarr, and Jackson being relative busts and only Cunningham being the one legit player who fulfilled his high school promise.

Now if Boston and Clarke were as-advertised, maybe. But this team wouldn't be 13-2. WAY too many holes to fill. There are issues all over the court with this bunch at all times.

Disagree. Cunningham would make all of them better and make the offense much easier to run.

Look at the losses - we aren't losing to Richmond, GA Tech, ND, UL, Auburn, UGA, or Bama last night with Cunningham. UNC, KU and Bama I'll give you as toss-ups. That's 12-3 right there.

Cade Cunningham and Bam Adebayo might get this team to 12-3.

You don't plug one player in on a team like this and have everything be hunky dory. As long as Olivier Sarr can't post anyone up without looking like he's trying to learn how to ride a unicycle and B.J. Boston shoots lay-ups like a preschooler on crank, this team will struggle. They would've brought Cunningham down to their level.

I’m almost glad it didn’t happen. If this season had gone that way, it would have masked the reality of our situation. We’d have had a superstar, but the system would still need an overhaul.

While we are physically limited, a good PG would've done wonders for this team. I'm still wondering why Askew was out there at the end because he hasn't scored in a few games and is turnover prone. Mind boggling decision by Cal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we've only played two teams who were ranked at the time this year, right? Kansas and at Alabama?

              North Carolina, maybe. Florida?

              But you may be right.

Still have UT (x2), Texas, Missouri

Speaking of which, I thought you were calling it quits for the year?

Glutton for punishment like the rest of us, I see.

Two things - yes, I am a glutton (maybe also an idiot). Second, I didn't say I was done for the year, just took a little break. At this point it really can't get any worse so I may as well jump back in a little bit.

Thankfully I have a girl's soccer tournament during the Texas game so I won't be able to watch that one.

I've found myself expecting nothing positive at this point so I'm not even really disappointed. It's almost like it was at the end of the Gillispie era, where you have such low expectations even a halfway decent game can elicit a "Hmm, that was pretty good."

I had no reaction at all to the Georgia last-second win. I expected it to happen.

Like the rest of us, it's hard to turn the fan button off. I'm sure we'll be sitting there during the SEC Tournament hoping they can somehow magically win it.

But my over-arching feeling about this team is that they're so broken nothing is going to work. That's a terrible place to be as a UK fan but it makes the games a lot less stressful to sit there and watch.

                        This.

Last night when we fell apart at the 3 minute mark I started feeling the typical anger. But then I remembered our situation and brushed it off without a second thought. First time since Clyde.

I’ve been wondering for some time now what Cade could have done for us this year. I’ve therefore paid a little more attention to Ok St than I would otherwise. They started out 6-0 against nobodies. They have nice wins against KU and Tex Tech.

Cade is really good. But I feel if he were a transcendent enough talent to take our current mess to 13-2 then Ok St would be better than 4-4 in their conference right now. It’s not what was expected before the season but the rest of the Cowboys are better than our current underwhelming cast. Cade turns the ball over as often as he assists. That wouldn’t make us a top 5 team.

Not to mention Ok St hired Cade’s brother a good while ago. Wasn’t really shocking when he chose to go there. Kinda like Wiseman going to Memphis and who knows what that could happen with Wagner.

With Cade and a healthy roster, wed look similar to the Murray Ulis squad.

I feel Cunningham would've helped this team immensely, but maybe not as much record wise as is being discussed, but I feel that if Kentucky could've landed Kuminga as well, it would've been a different story. Not sure if there was ever really a chance but if you add Kuminga and Cunnignham to this roster it's easily a top 5 team, with depth.

What about next year? Is there a Cunningham in next years class. Only PG I see is Hickman. Are we recruiting any other PG?
