Dwight you believe what you want. You are now talking about alt right groups being behind some of the protest. You had an issue with my original post obviously. You made a ridiculous statement that implied number one I had an issue with Cal golfing with Obama and so therefore the same people (me) were upset with black kids caring about their lives. I don't know how you specifically felt about Cal golfing with Obama but the Venn diagram of people who got butthurt over it and people pissed about Black Lives Matter showing up in a UK Basketball video is nearly circular.

When I was a part time staff member at the Cabbage Patch and again when I coached teenagers there, I saw first hand why the protests are happening and necessary. Way to many kids of all colors are made to fend for themselves because there is no father in their house and the mother just doesn't care enough to raise them right. Not all, but way to many. These families are stuck in poverty and they feel there's no way out. And then when these kids are in school, they rebel at any form of discipline which causes more issues. Then when a obnoxious police officer comes on the scene and suspects them for anything and shows them no respect, they rebel at a higher level. The fact that there are slaves in their past really has no bearing on how and why they feel the way they do, it's just a reason to hang on to. We all need to listen to the peaceful protesters and hear what they say, but there will always be those who want to stir up trouble and do as much destruction as they are allowed to do. A peaceful protest is legal and necessary, but destruction and killing should be stopped.

They will never fix a thing and have done more harm than good. Not a Real movement in a sense strictly political. What have they done? So much more I could say. Each case could be argued individually but people have dangerously lumped them all together and immediately assume two falsehoods. 1 there was no reason 2 it was racially motivated.

You're falsely blaming an organization when "black lives matter" was for years nothing more than a slogan. Regular Americans demonstrating peacefully, not being led by some evil organization or violent anarchists. The people demonstrating are supporting the idea itself.

Unfortunately, the BLM movement has had remoras stick to it that are pretty far from the original ideas of the group.
and there always, always, always cameras rolling when the craziest of any group start speaking. That gets those hits people want so much.
decades of family disintegration have hit black communities extremely hard. Pick a reason, pick a political party...doesnt matter. One group identifying as BLM mentioned getting away from the idea of a nuclear family...which seems to be part of the issue to start with.

I have every belief that the vast majority of people involved with BLM have tremendous goals and legitimate issues. Unfortunately, those get mixed in with a lot of things that seem outlandish.
the issue oftentimes is in the wording. How it is said, how it is framed. "Defund the police" is actually identical to what a lot of the right wing was saying when police departments seemed to be turned into paramilitary units during the Bush and Obama years.

Until I see a blm March in Chicago protesting innocent children shot, it's just a terrorist Marxist party as far as I am concerned ran by the woman Obama pardoned while in office but I guess that's debunked fake news too....

Same for the NFL. If Roger Goodell or Pete Carroll really want to make these so called changes, why don't they step down and give there job up and insist someone take their place?
