Kentucky makes a ton of sense with Sarr given his situation, but I thought Haarms made some sense too and you never know.
Sarr's career is trending differently than Harms' was. Many believe Sarr may be on the brink of making a next-level jump. Haarms was trending backwards.
The only thing with Sarr is that you don't know if he'll get a waiver.Comment

Here are the criteria used to consider a waiver:-The transfer is due to documented mitigating circumstances that are outside the student-athlete’s control and directly impact the health, safety and well-being of the student-athlete
-At the time of transfer to the certifying institution, the student-athlete would have been athletically and academically eligible and in good standing on the team had he or she remained at the previous institution;
-The certifying institution must certify that the student-athlete meets percentage-of degree requirements
-The previous institution’s athletics administration does not oppose the transfer.
A coaching change has not previously been considered a mitigating circumstance. WF would also have to not oppose the transfer, not sure they would as they want him to return.Comment

Wow, funny how we go off the deep end when we are missing and not getting top 10 elite players and now we are begging to D1 players who will never step a foot in the NBA just to commit and sign on the dotted line. In many ways Cal created this mess and for 9 million a year it's his problem to solve. Very hypocritical of him to brag and boast about making kids millionaires but now all of a sudden he has a problem with kids going the G league route, he wants to talk about the % who will never make. Let's talk about the % of players who left Kentucky without a degree and flamed out early in the big leagues.
Anyways, at this point begging someone will transfer and fill a big void on the front line next season if there even is a next season. Fauci keeps preaching we may not be out of the clear for a long time until his buddy Bill Gates gets the world vaccine ready, may as well go ahead and stick a chip in me while you are at it, hell i can the million dollar man from back in the 70's.Comment

Interesting article from a couple of years ago about which players get waivers. You would think there would be a decent chance for this kid to get eligible because of the double whammy of the virus and the coaching change, but it looks like the NCAA takes everything on a case-by-case basis and there's really no blueprint (as is often the case for the NCAA).
