I haven't checked the numbers or stats but did this team finally start coming together after the departure of Whitney?

Only thing I've noticed is that it's given Johnny Juzang more run.

He's played pretty well. Big body, good shooter, doesn't try to do too much. Not a superstar but I like him and really hope he sticks with it. Johnny is the kind of player who has transferred out of Kentucky the last few years. Hope that doesn't happen.

I'd say it's been a gradual improvement all year. But you aren't wrong, this team is so thin in regards to scholarship players that everyone has to play. The opportunity to play through mistakes and not get yanked immediately seems like it's been beneficial.

As others have said, this team has been improving all along, and when Whitney left others were given more PT, but I don't think Whitney's leaving had anything to do with anything other than coincidence.

I don't mean this as a dig at the guy who left but I started seeing improvement not when he left but the last 2 or 3 games when he was still on the team but basically out of the rotation. He just wasn't adding anything when he had a bigger role. Cal started paring down the rotation and we started looking more cohesive.

We typically emerge from Camp Cal with everyone still having a shot. But Cal always wants to know who his guys are by the end of January.

Khalil knew he hadn't made the cut. Maybe he would have in a year or 2. But like most of Cal's 5 star recruits that wasn't his plan.

...I don't think he will, he has to be honest with himself and also factor in he's a re-class it's just going to take him time. He will be much better next year and a solid piece for the rookies.
