Great win overall... Was very nervous. On one hand, I honestly thought Louisville would win this game by possibly 10 or more... On the other hand, I was thinking if UK actually plays with energy and plays decent defense, they could win this game. I knew McMahon wasn't doing crap this game. Some questionable stuff throughout the game. Some phantom calls - although both ways, some good calls, some decent no-calls. The tech on Cal was sort of stupid.
Nick played unreal today as did Enoch. Enoch has a lot of touch around the rim and a lot of size. EJ once again was just god awful. Guy is so lost on the court. Good Maxey showed up today. I honestly thought they were going to lose in OT. Cal had went to his terrible 1 man show offense late in the game again but this time it worked. Overall good win so let's see if this gets them going a little better from this point.Comment

As bad as EJ is offensively, he had some huge defensive efforts today. I think we can put EJ becoming a force to bed. If you can’t get up for this game...Isaiah 5:20Comment

We're we watching the same game? He was lost on almost every defensive possession. He had a big block in the 2nd half but it was all setup by him getting beat yet again. There's a reason Cal was pulling him so much in the first half.
Offensively he's a joke. One - he couldn't even get in position with a 6' guard on him and of course, his teammates didn't get him the ball. Many other times, he was in the way, out of position, or not even looking to the ball. Dude is just not good. It happens.Comment

That was a game that we had to fight tooth and nail to win and we did it. Guys made big plays when we needed them.Comment

What a great effort tonight. I thought when Nwora hit the three we were done. But the guys fought, made free throws, and had the will to win. This was by far the best game they've played this year. It seems like Cal's best teams have had seven guys and it looks like Juzang and Whitney are working their way out. There's nothing wrong with that, they're freshmen and they'll come around. If we get that effort from Nick and somehow get EJ to give us six and six every game we will be dangerous come March.Comment

It doesn't show up in the boxscore but Keion Brooks was the unheralded star of the game. The defense he played was outstanding.Comment
