He was as good today as he was bad a week ago. Just need a reliable effort from the big guy and we just might be decent.

Before the season if you gave me 2 guaranteed non-conference wins I'd have taken them against (preseason #1) Mich St. and (rival) UL. Sure our two losses are bad ones but there's really no way of knowing what this team may accomplish. Maybe nothing, maybe quite a lot.

Today that looked like 2 mediocre teams to me. And they may honestly both be top 10 teams this year.

Agreed. He earned some time yesterday. The fact that his first start (I believe) was against a top three team and his job was to guard their best player and AA candidate shows the confidence Cal has in him. And, of that tip goes in at the end of regulation?!?!?

Bill Murray isn’t a U of L fan, his son is on staff. He used to show up at Xavier games all the time.

Can't imagine why, they should be used to it by now. Not sure what's going to happen with this rivalry. UL loses 4 starters off this team PLUS the NCAA hasn't announced penalties UL faces for a major violation while on probation. I suspect the NCAA is going to do everything to them short of the death penalty.

Don't know about that Dave. Hookergate was pretty big news & they bounced back almost immediately. I guess if they hit them with a multiple year post-season ban then players may stay away. Otherwise they may do like this year and load up on graduate transfers and not miss a beat. The beauty is...we beat them every year anyway!

Just not sure the NCAA has the teeth to really punish teams bad enough to hurt them much in basketball since you just need a few good men to be competitive.
