Louisville @ Kentucky Game Thread.

OK, I got home late and plan to sleep late so I'll get this thread going tonight. We are playing a good team who expects to come to our house and win. I believe in our CATS and expect them to gut out a close win.

I’m hoping for a new and improved UK team but I’m not sure we will see it. I’m just not sure how this teams gets to 65 or so in this game with our offensive struggles.

I really hope I am wrong but I see another loss coming and anticipate the fanbase growing very angry and even more restless.

Ladt I saw, the spread is 1. That surprises me. This game stresses me out. Was going to go to a movie. Have a friend in from Nashville. She wants to watch somewhere. Going to Saints. It is an All Blue Party. At least will have a room full of people on my side. Can’t do mixed company. My dirty bird and don’t watch together at all.

Seems like if one took ribbing from rivals as good-natured they might not hate this game? I hear people give UK grief all the time at work and it doesn't bother me at all. I shrug, laugh, and move on.

With that said, I've never been the brunt of really ugly UK smacktalk. Almost every conversation I've ever been in with UofL fans they've talked to me with a smile on their face. That sort of smack doesn't bother me because I chalk it up as just friendly chatting.

I do know a woman at work who literally had to move jobs because of the grief she got from UK fans. She's a UofL fan and could not take what she called abuse.

Never understood getting that incensed over sports. I think some people use sports as a way to bully others and that's sad.

Personally I look forward to games like this. Now that UK isn't that good it actually puts less pressure on this game because I don't expect much from the Cats. I'll be nervous at gametime but at least we're not playing Applachian St. We play way too many cupcakes as it is. I like the rivalry games and the marquee games and all that. Gives a person something to look forward to.

I am a total Kentucky Fan and all my friends know it. My friends who are Louisville fans talk some friendly smack and that's as far as it goes. I catch more grief from Kentucky fans who know I was a referee. I expect a Win today, but have no idea how we're going to get it. I expect an ugly game but we might be the team who ugly's it up instead of the other team. If I can find time tomorrow, I plan to evaluate the officials and post it on WCN.

I think Quickley is 2-14 from three in his last two games. Maxey is an almost incredible 2 for his last 20 going back to the UAB game.

I want to think that can't hold today and one of those guys is going to knock down a couple of key shots for us.

Points are going to be at a premium.
