Reid took 5 shots. Made 4. That's ridiculous.
UK had one point, 1, in the second half from threes and FTs.

Cal’s offensive approach is confusing (at best).

Things need to change. Not sure what they are but I have no faith in a Final Four next year and that would make 5 seasons in a row.

For better or worse Cal went with the plan of grinding it to a halt. UK’s defense was great, guard play and the offense wasn’t and in the end, free throws doomed us.

I don't mind his offense with the bigs screening to get wings open or for the dump down pass. It's not a bad offense and it often works well - however, you can't do it every single time down the court. There needs to be more added in... He FINALLY did an inbounds play and scored twice from it. Still don't understand why a TO wasn't called with about toward the end of regulation. Cal had 2 TOs left and you got the ball - setup a play and try to score in a critical moment. He ate those 2 TOs. That's the crap I get frustrated with...

I think Herro was exposed today and his NBA stock dropped, another year will help him...

Ultimately you don’t need overwhelming talent to win, you need players that are great at this level who can hit shots down the stretch.

If Cal’s not bringing in the top 3 players every year, we’ve got to start getting guys to stay longer than a year.

Agree on your comment about needing great players that can hit shots, but Duke brought in the top 3 players and didn’t make it to the final four either. This has been debated time and time again.

It it takes talent to win as well as a few other things to go right, oh, and some luck. That’s the beauty of March Madness.

The fan base gets upset about not getting top tier talent, but, when we do, complains about them leaving. We can’t have it both ways. I’ll take talent, hope for the best and count my blessings to be able to be a part of the BBN.

Yes 12-21 or 57%. Here is a stat I don't understand: Reid Travis 4 of 5 from the field and he only got 5 shots. Why didn't we keep pounding the ball inside to him and Washington who was 10-18? I don't think we played to our strengths today.

                      This.

People that are screaming, "FARRRR CAL!" are morons. But there are adjustments in the philosophy that need to be addressed.

This was a good year. Disappointing end, but it happens to 67 teams, and we made it further than all but 6 of them.

I love Cal. He is the best coach for us.

Having said that our offenses, year after year have very little movement and motion. They are easier to defend than they should be.

Perhaps it’s a product of young teams, but unlike others have posted, I know what they are trying and don’t think it’s very creative. We have to play grind games because we can’t score very efficiently.

I would never yell 'fire Cal' because that's just stupid... However - I still don't understand his lack of using timeouts... Look what Izzo just did. Got the ball with about 40 seconds, called time-out, setup a play, got an open shot... If Cal would have done this at the end of regulation - then UK most likely would be in the final four... Of course, its not certain but I would like my chances coming out of a TO. These kids are young - not seasoned vets.

As for the Reid questioning - I love Reid. He was absolutely big for UK. The reason why they don't go to Reid often is that he can't jump and can't score on other big men unless he has the proper positioning. Cal was doing what he did with KAT --- feed the hot hand each and every position and we know by now that doesn't work in every case.

                                Regarding our offense.

It's very hard to succeed at a high level in the college game offensively if your point guard isn't at a super high level.

Ashton Hagans, frankly, fell off the face of the earth. He did not have a good second half of the season and honestly you can go back and only find a handful of games where he was giving us positive play consistently.

I thought after the solid game against Carolina and the crazy defense he played early that we had a gem. But his shooting ability ended up really hurting him as the year went on, and you couple that with his terrible decision-making and his inability to score through contact and you've got a very sketchy player.

Your point guard can't be sketchy. Absolutely cannot be under any circumstance.

The difference today was Auburn's guardplay. We were dominated at the point of attack.
