Exactly why they're morons with agendas. They should use it when possible, and stay as close to it as possible. In this case the top 8 teams could have been seeded by S curve and they didn't do it. It's the most fair way. Get it now?Comment

It's still sort of unclear what the committee uses. It looks to me like they sort of use a hodgepodge of different metrics, and then they slide teams around on the last couple of days based on single games.
That said, I don't think this particular bracket looks that bad. I do think the number of times UK and Carolina have been in the same bracket the last few years is pretty lame. With as good as Virginia has been recently, for them not to be in Kentucky's region once is sort of wild. Yet we've been in Carolina's bracket almost every year for the past half-decade.
If Rick Majerus were around he'd shake his head in disgust.Comment

One more thing:
That second-round game.
How bad will we beat Seton Hall? That will be a mauling beyond all recognition. We'll win that game by at least 4 touchdowns.
But it's possible we don't even get that game. If you think Tennessee is a bunch of flopping punks, wait until you see Wofford. Wofford does some stuff that will make you vomit on the carpet. They've got plays they run specifically to try to make you foul their jumpshooters. That game has the potential to be absolutely maddening.Comment

Well, did you watch the Seton Hall Marquette game? Multiple ejections and Powell is a problem, and a punk. If they are throwing in threes again, it'll be a struggle. One more thing:

I did watch that Seton Hall/Marquette game. Wild.
But we will dismantle Seton Hall. Problem is, I don't know if we'll play Seton Hall.Comment

Were in Virginia's bracket just last year. But UMBC happened. It's still sort of unclear what the committee uses. It looks to me like they sort of use a hodgepodge of different metrics, and then they slide teams around on the last couple of days based on single games.

Oof, thats right. Totally forgot.
If this team gets a road like last year got, it's obviously taking it to Minneapolis. Trouble is, the chances of that happening two years in a row are virtually nil.
The one break historically that I think UK did get and take advantage of is when Utah beat North Carolina in the FF in '98. I was convinced all year North Carolina was beating everybody. They were the sort of Duke-with-Zion of that year. When Utah beat them I had my first moment of hope with that team that they could win it. And that was even before the Stanford miracle.Comment

The number one seed in our region is someone we already beat . Nobody in this region is scary IMO. Gonzaga has a love letter and Duke is a lock for Elite 8. Houston has not been through the wars and if we play with intensity we win that game. We SHOULD make it to Final Four after that I’ m not so confident. My Final Four after looking over brackets UK, Gonzaga, Duke and Tennessee. Yeah I know UT got handled today but they were gassed, I like them over Virginia if that game happens.Comment

The Duke game before Stanford had already convinced me anything was possible. Will never forget Trajan Langdon's interview after. "I kept looking in their eyes to see if they were scared. But they weren't scared."
