Probably so. Will come down to the last week.

Since Tennessee is likely going to finish ahead of us you'd think Williams will win it. Usually the team that wins the conference gets the POY if the race is close.

True, but our defense won the Arkansas game, but it never made an appearance today.

You don't win when you give the other team's point guard that sort of game. I thought Bone got a lot of easy stuff.

5-5 from three. Recipe for a whippin'.

          Tennessee 5 turnovers. Kentucky 16.
Tyler had one more turnover than the whole Orange team.

          Third in the conference.

          Well....okay.

Also, the Cats are almost assuredly the 3-seed in the SEC Tournament.

Will obviously have to win both the remaining two and then make a run to Sunday in the SEC Tournament to have a shot at a 1-seed.

Michigan St.'s loss today helps us. I don't think they'll get a 1 with two losses to lowly Indiana. So we need Tennessee to lose early in Nashville, North Carolina to beat Duke next weekend, Virginia to lose at Syracuse, and then two of those three teams to trip up in the ACC Tournament.

Just an ugly game......wished we could have played them at full strength with Travis on the floor

No excuse for this debacle. None. And I don't mean the loss. I mean the effort.

We still need a PG. Badly. What an awful showing by everyone, with the exception of Quickley.

Terrible leadership from Washington today. And the team looking all the world like quitters the last few minutes is unacceptable.

We have a roster full of 5 stars and Mcdonald AAs. No excuse having as many turnovers as FGs.

Not trending well in March. We need all hands to beat Ole Miss.

I'm not sure Kentucky quit. That game could have easily been 30.

With the exception of what Jordan Bone did nothing that happened out there surprised me.

Kentucky had no shot with Travis and probably little shot with him. That's a game you just hope you can kind of compete in. I wouldn't read a whole lot into it.

Only thing about that game is that it makes you really go back to the Alabama game and cringe about our performance in that one. You beat Alabama and you're still probably in control for a 1 seed and you're in a tie at the top of the SEC.

                      Also, regarding PJ:

PJ was having to operate in this game, and of course last game, with virtually nobody down there to help him.

It's so hard at this level to be on an island when you play in the post. When teams can just run relentless double teams at you the way Tennessee did then your chances of success are very low.

Travis draws some of that stuff away. You can't guard PJ like they were doing today, which is basically running at him from everywhere.

Again, that's what this team would have looked like without Travis. I'm not sure Kentucky is an NCAA Tournament team without him.

Absolutely awful day to be a UK fan

UK loses (now likely guaranteed to be the 3 seed in SECT)
                        UT wins
                        IU wins
                        KU wins
                        Duke wins
                        UNC likely wins

I saw an awful performance but no quit. Well, maybe the last .30 seconds. I think Herro was playing hurt, because he didn't move the way he normally does and his shot wasn't there which could be because of the lift off of a bad ankle. Defensively he, PJ and EJ were terrible. Not our day, but this team will be OK.

Disappointed, but not surprised. Regroup, get a solid win at Ole Miss, and we are right back in position.

Cal's record in Knoxville during his tenure: 3-7.
