    Kentucky @ Tennessee Game Thread

Huge game today and will take a monumental effort to win. Hoping for a clean game with no injuries and a quick start for our CATS!!!

The Officials today are Don Daily, Joe Lindsay and Byron Jarrett. And you can bet the supervisor of officials for the SEC, Mark Whitehead, is in Knoxville today. Lindsay was the primary calling official who passed on the offensive basket interference play in the LSU game.

    GO CATS!!! PLAY TOUGH!!!

Hate to hear this, but we will survive this game without him and we need him healthy for the rest of the season.

An SEC championship might be opening up for us in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama beating LSU with 10 minutes left.

Richards gets the start. Really need him and Montgomery to play like their hair's on fire today.

For Kentucky to be successful PJ Washington has to be a receiver in the post. It's how we start at least half of our sets.

The times Kentucky struggles, usually what you'll notice is that Washington is being basically pushed out on the court and it's impossible to get the ball to him to key the sets.

That's happening now with Williams. He's making it really hard for PJ to just catch the ball. If that continues what you'll see is Kentucky panicking and taking bad shots. Washington has to get in position to at least be a receiver of the basketball.

It's going to take major effort because they're essentially laying on him to push him out away from the block, and then when he catches the ball at the three-point line they're crowding him. Needs to be unafraid to drive and either score it at the rim or fan the ball out. You have to meet overplaying with aggression.

^ There it was. We can't get the ball to him.

                  Not a good sign.

We didn't need EJ to get his 2nd. Or a ticky foul called on Richards.

The second foul on Washington was huge. Thought it came after a missed walk call on Schofield.

Herro is maybe trying to do too much offensively. He's still mixing it up and rebounding well, but he's shot two or three questionable shots that have led to Tennessee baskets on the other end.

Sort of a danger time right here for Kentucky. Without our starting frontcourt in you're going to have to lean on the guards.

Johnson should be the guy here but Tennessee has bothered him greatly.

Kentucky having all kinds of problems offensively.

You have no chance if Johnson can't give you anything on offense.

Meanwhile, Tennessee just leaving the door open for us. This should be a 20-pound game by now.

Cats seem to be playing tentative. Fouls at positions we don't need them at, are hurting big time. A couple missed walks in UT's favor have hurt. We have to keep fighting, and it would help if #13 could hit a 3.
