NBA Votes to Lower Entrance Age from 19 to 18

This is breaking news but it's obviously huge for UK's program depending on when they implement it.

    Interesting timing.

I thought this AM that if Zion is seriously hurt, they will change this tomorrow.

Would take effect for the 2022 draft if agreed to.

Will be interested in how it is worded in regards to when the player would turn 18.

How convenient. If this were Bellarmine or Sam Houston State or a school from ANY OTHER SPORT, would we hear about it? Zion/pUKe moves the needle so that's what we can take from this. Excuse me while I vomit.

                I'm going to be honest.

Once he's gone from Duke, I'm going to be a fan of Zion's.

I like the look on his face when he plays. I like that he seems to deeply care about what's going on out there. I like that he's such a willing passer, and is in fact a great passer for a big man. I like the intensity at which he plays the game.

To me he's sort of all you want in a basketball player. I'm not ashamed to say that and I'm looking forward to what he does as a pro.

Of course as a collegiate I hope his team crashes and burns, but he's a special player that could do so much good for the game of basketball for the next couple of decades.

Man, I love Zion now. The guy is like watching an aircraft carrier maneuver like a ski boat. I think if he stays healthy, he's going to be a star in short order in the NBA.

Same. Which makes it hurt so much more when I think about how I was absolutely convinced he was coming to UK. It would have been as perfect a fit as you could have, even better for him if he comes here IMO. Most were convinced he was coming here till about half way through his senior year in HS. Not sure what changed, but it sure would have been something had he come here 😫

I like watching the guy play. I think he's the kind of player any fan base would go crazy for.

The crazy thing about Zion isn't his athleticism, which is historic. It's how polished he is.

Very Anthony Davis-like. Whenever Davis made a mistake it was shocking. You almost couldn't believe it. He did everything at an elite level.

Zion's like that. He plays such a clean game, which is amazing because that wasn't the rap on him in high school.

A case can be made that the recruiting experts whiffed on Zion Williamson as badly as any player in modern history. I'm not sure anybody saw this coming. I mean sure, they had him ranked high. But so many people who watched him play in high school talked about his weight, his lack of size, his shooting ability...you just didn't see people talk about how well-rounded of a player he is, probably because it's hard to measure those tools when you're watching a high school game.

And it's also interesting that R.J. Barrett, who's also a great player, is so far away from being polished. Barrett is a guy who can hurt you at times as much as he helps. Zion helps virtually all the time.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love Zion. The biggest college superstar since The Brow and it's not even close. Dude is just so fun to watch. I knew he was special in High School but was a tad skeptical he could do it like he has at this level. Still, I HATE pUKe with every fiber of my being. Any other superstar from any other team wouldn't have prompted the NBA to do this and that's why it's so disgusting to me. Pretty obvious, IMO.

Does this change address a window one must stay in college if you don’t go at 18 , like college baseball or is it simply lowering the minimum requirement age to 18 and nothing else
