That game will forever be up there for me. It was memorable in more ways than one. I was driving to a Christmas Party and had to listen on the radio. I was going ballistic while driving.

I have no confidence in this team yet! So I think KENTUCKY Loses not like Duke but lose by 12 to 15 pts. Close at half maybe 7 pts and then UNC takes over.

UNC by 20 . I watched their game against Gonzaga, and let's just say that I dread Saturday

If Kentucky loses to Carolina by 20 after losing to Duke by 34 Calipari may have to resign on Monday.

Would have to be one of the lowest points in modern UK history--not counting Gillispie--if it happened that way.

Kentucky has to at least compete.

Also, while Carolina did beat Gonzaga, they also lost to Texas. Texas was beaten by Radford.

So I'm not ready to proclaim Carolina unbeatable or anything. But more than that, Kentucky just has to compete and show some fight. They quit very early against Duke and that was one of the first times I've ever seen a Cal team do that. If that wasn't an anomaly then we need to start asking tough questions about the future of this program.

I don't think it's a matter of UNC being unbeatable or even great (at least for me). It's simply the fact that UK has been as underwhelming as I think they possibly could be to this point in the season. IMO, they have played one very good half - the second half against a decent (at best) UNCG team. Other that we have looked mediocre to downright awful.

If UK plays to its potential then we can certainly win, I think. But at this point it's a little hazy what our real potential is and if they are capable of getting there.

Played okay against Utah I thought.

But it's hard to tell against teams like that. Utah's terrible.

Anytime the defense has a good run Kentucky looks okay. It's when teams start scoring on 7, 8, 9 possessions in a row that things go off the rails. And that's happened a lot this year. I didn't count against Seton Hall but it looked like in the second half they got points on almost 15 possessions in a row. The game of basketball isn't meant to be played like that.

Carolina can score at such a higher rate than Seton Hall that if we don't guard they really could beat us by 20. As I said if that happens you're going to see total meltdown from the fanbase.

Cats are winning Saturday. And the negativity toward this team is really getting ridiculous. They played one crappy game on Nov. SIXTH....and one game where a dude gets unconscious and drains falling down double clutch threes. They are improving and will be a team to be reckoned with when March comes....

I'm done for a while with this board, see you in a couple months.

I agreed and yes,to with Carolina, we winning on Saturday.

With that being said, the negativity and feeback from this board and UK fans in general is well deserved, this so called preseason top ranked 10 year Hall of Fame coached UK team has looked and played like to be honest, it's head scratching and irritating, down right hard to believe to be honest. I agree we can't win every game but it's Cal job to recruit kids who fit his system(IF HE EVEN HAS A SYSTEM) and that's 8 million on him. When mid majors give us a run for our money, wll that's a tough pill to swallow . I hope this team is a team to be reckoned with in March (usually is) but on the same note, no UK coach gets a free pass for getting embarassed and beat down by Duke by 34 that could have easily been 50, that's a bunch of bs anyway you look at it.....

The negativity is absolutely well deserved.

Kentucky fans always take it a few notches too far but Kentucky shouldn't look like it has, and we shouldn't have so dramatically gone from "I'm here because I can recruit the best of the best" to missing all these recruits. Not at 8 mil a year.

Things aren't dire at UK but you can see a little bit of a slip into the netherworld of mediocrity we saw moving toward the end of Tubby Smith's tenure.

For all these reasons a win Saturday would be huge for this program.

Agreed, i love Kentucky and i still support Cal but things have got to change sooner than later. This Carolina game is just another game in a long season but for me as a fan, it's huge. Cal needs this win,the fans need a big win, the players need the win for confidence, this game is huge in my opinion.....

What better time for Baker to prove he belongs , just hope Cal doesn't forget about him. I know it's hard to judge a guy for hitting two threes in mop up time against Utah at the end of the game but if you are looking at a prototype shooter, at 6'4 6'5 Baker fits the bill. It's a shame Herro can't play PG because i would love to have both him and Baker on the floor with Johnson , PJ, and or/Reid/Montgomery/Richards. One thing i can't understand with Cal and his point guards as of late is why he doesn't get a scoring PG, he always has had one, Quickly and Hagans just seem limited on offense in my opinion.....

I'll be shocked if we keep the margin under 10.

Sorry, but I see another bad loss on national tv.

If that's negative...tough. There is nothing we've shown against all the hyphenated university competition that shows me we can beat teams like this yet. We haven't beaten anyone....period.

Now if we do win.....it changes a ton of things for this team. Huge game to be honest.
