OT: One of the Dirtiest Basketball Plays I've Ever Seen

The player has been suspended from the team and banned from campus for this. Deservedly so.

Nichols College coach Scott Faucher told Yahoo Sports he's 'not really too sure' why an opposing player decked his starting point guard.

That's criminal. Yea he should be kicked out of school and the team forever. Suffice it to say that guy has problems.
    Kentucky fan since 1971.

Apparently that was his second technical of the game, which yeah, that dude apparently doesn't have the maturity to handle sports.

Impressive nobody clocked him - had that happened in a D1 game he woulda had his arse kicked.

Unfortunately, I had almost the same thing happen in a HS game between border state rivals. Neither my partner or me saw the hit and both schools destroyed the game film. However, the game was on cable TV and I got the film from them. I still have the tape which shows clearly a call I missed and as far as I know, nothing ever happened to the kid who threw the elbow.

I laughed aloud at that line.

I had a weird thing happen to me back in high school that I'm sure nobody but me will be interested in.

A group of friends and I somehow had an off night from practice and decided to go over SOMEWHERE IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY and catch a game. I can't remember where it was, can't remember what happened, only remember driving over to the game. The one and only reason we went: we'd heard that there was going to be a massive brawl.

We watched a half maybe, and because we had a hellish drive back we had to leave. Later we heard that there was a brawl late in the game--well after we'd left--and we were all crestfallen. (I can't confirm that the brawl actually happened. Teenage boys are known to lie.)

I have no idea where I was or who these schools were, but I think it could have been connected to this. I'm certain it wasn't the "basketbrawl" game, because the year I'm thinking of would've probably been 1994, but we may have been watching these two teams. Somehow there was a rumor that things were going to get ugly, and it could have been because of this previous fight.

I wonder if charges have been filed. The evidence is irrefutable. Shouldn't matter that it happened during a ballgame.

Agree. Criminal assault. Not a close call.

I don't know if I've ever seen a dude just straight up throw a haymaker in the middle of play before. That was brutal.

The shooter clearly threw himself into the guy's elbow looking for a call. Major flop.

That's funny right there... I don't care who you are. (quoting Larry the cable guy).

And then you have this, which perfectly captures the spirit of the game of basketball.

Great story there! I saw an ESPN 30 for 30 about an all deaf football team. If you ever see this on you need to watch it.
