I wouldn't do that.
Watching them grow is part of the fun.
You see a guy struggle, struggle, battle, and then finally get it...that's part of the process of growing up.
These are 18- and 19-year-olds for the most part. We're watching college kids, not pros, as much as Cal wants this to be sort of a semi-pro operation. Easy to lose sight of that.
Watching somebody just struggle mightily and then come out and put a big game together is immensely pleasing. I can tick off a bunch of players I never thought would get it and then, somehow, they did. From Jorts to Deandre Liggins to Willie Cauley-Stein to even somebody like Karl Towns, who started out pretty pedestrian and then turned into one of the game's best players by the end of the year.
We all want to win. And if you should win 80% of your games if you're making the money Cal does.
But you can get so much from watching this simply by not freaking out about every struggle and trying to accept that they're going to screw up.Proverbs 25:24Comment

Appreciate your view on this and i agree. Mine is more of a health thing. I suffer from Episodic Ataxia. Stress and physical activity can cause (Spells) to happen. I try not to get too worked up. I do well with the football team but have issues keeping things under control for the basketball team. I figure if i give them a month or so and then watch maybe i will be able to handle this team. I am not a huge fan of the one and done UK/Duke style of recruiting. I mean it is fun to watch these stud kids play but it is also taxing on my mind/body.
There's likely going to be a lot more stress with this team. I can't imagine they go from what we saw Tuesday to everything just being hunky dory.
That didn't seem to be just a glitch to me. There's liable to be more pain on the way until (if) they figure it out.Comment

Right but they shouldn't be.
The players are too good for that. The roster is designed to be better than that. Just a couple months ago we had the head coach--a guy who's been around as much talent as almost anyone walking planet earth--smiling from ear to ear about this team.
When Kentucky has lost 10 under Cal, we've had a deluge of youth. This team doesn't really have that. They're young but not that young.
Forgetting Duke for a second, the way they played against Transylvania would've made you think they were not just young, but totally devoid of any kind of skill or talent at all. It was a precursor to the Duke game, which was one of the worst performances of my life post-Eddie Sutton era.
That ain't right. There's nothing to explain that when you look at the players. Which is why I think it might be a coach/preparation thing or it could be an issue in the locker room (hope not).Comment

If it is a coaching and preparation issue Cal needs to get his priorities straight IN A HURRY. How does the Head Basketball Coach at UK NOT get his team prepared for the home opener against Duke in front of the whole world .THESE are the games he gets the big bucks for to look so unprepared disorganized and UNMOTIVATED is simply unscceptableComment
