Let's be clear, I'm not expecting 40-0 at all. But they will absolutely be the favorite, have the deepest, most talented roster, and I'm applying for Final Four tickets.

I feel more excited about this year than I did about last year. This new team has a good feel to it to me.

We still have a lot of freshmen. I have been down that road too many times. I still feel we will have our struggles but Reid should come in and be an immediate leader. Just happy to have someone who has been around the college game on our team. If the "shooters" can actually shoot in a college game we will be pretty good. Also, Don't forget about Duke. They have a lot of talent and a damn good coach.

Kansas will be Kentucky's biggest threat IMO.

Think Duke is a little uneven even though they'll probably have the best individual player.

Gonzaga is another team to watch.

Obviously a good get. Should make this team fairly well rounded and have some good veteran presence. Only two things upfront to be concerned about without ever seeing most of these guys play.

One is shooting. Herro,Baker and Green are the ones that appear to be the shooters. Green was inconsistent last year but I think he will improve that a lot. Herro and Baker are freshman, you never know how freshman will be, especially in shooting. Tony Delk was terrible his freshman year and see what he became. So we will just have wait and see.

The thing every year is chemistry. How will they all fit together and play as a team? Cal usually gets them all on the same page by the end of the season. I would say he will this year but there may some rough patches. Going to the Bahamas this year should help that quite a bit. I'll wait and see what the schedule looks like but this should be a great year.

Well said. I'm concerned about Freshmenitis too, but Green Reed and PJ should add a lot of leadership. And, I hope Richards has improved.

Have we ever had a time where we haven't had a single true freshman on the floor? We could (although unlikely) see the lineup of Green, Baker, PJ, Travis, and Richards out there together.

The Bahamas trip, as Kevin said, will be very important. We have four guys who know what to expect from Cal and a grad transfer so I think they will drag along the true freshmen pretty quickly. But the extra practices and games will only help. Not only for chemistry reasons but also to speed up the learning curve. We've all seen how much better a team can be two months into the season, and that's essentially where we will be when practice starts.
