A little bit to be honest, i want a coach who knows how to coach and adjust. I realize the next guy may only land one or two instead of 5 but i am tired of constant turnover and our style of play still sucks, a new identity each and every year...

        Oh my God.

The people who truly even consider firing Cal are spoiled and will NEVER be content.

He's not perfect, but there is not a coach working today that is better suited for this position than John Calipari.

Certainly not. BUT, I do think we’re at a bit of a precipice. If Cal doesn’t address a thing or two in the off-season, I’m not confident that we’ll get back up there with the Novas and Dukes in the remainder of his tenure.

No, that would be stupid. I love Cal...it's just hard for me to stomach so many of these opportunities. Just really feel like one of these years a break should have been there that led to another title.

              I agree with this.

I think this idea that Kentucky is so far below Duke really isn't right. That seems chip-on-shoulder territory.

Not much difference between the programs. The last three years Duke has been knocked out in the Sweet 16 or the second round.

Huh??? Pretty sure they won the title 3 years ago. If they lose tonight I will be with you on this a little bit.

But, UK is below Duke right now, absolutely no question about it to me.

                    Yup.

The recruiting beatdown that Cal received this year plays a big part in that agenda, I think.

Record-wise, Cal has been more successful overall than Duke during his tenure. You can argue that one more title, but Cal has more final fours, more wins, and has never flamed out in the first round, which Duke has done twice in that span. It's really not this huge gulf that some of our fans are making it out to be.

We might be below them now, but stuff trends. There was a time, not long ago, when people were questioning if K was washed up and done because Cal was swiping all the elite talent and Duke was kind of doing what we're doing now. Then it flipped. No reason to think it won't flip again.

Fact: Kansas, North Carolina, Duke and Kentucky will ALWAYS be Kansas, North Carolina, Duke and Kentucky. A down year here and there, a few trends up and down here and there, won't make any difference.

In the last seven years Coach K has more first-round exits than Final Fours.

Jay Wright has lost on the first weekend four of the last six seasons.

Will just wrote in two sentences what I spent an entire paragraph attempting to stammer out.

Perhaps that's why he's the writer.

And that’s all I’m talking about. I don’t think we’ve become an inferior program, but the recruiting thing has to be addressed.

Whether that means winning fights for the top-five guys or retaining Gabriel, Vanderbilt, et al. remains to be seen. But until Cal tunes up that part of his strategy, whatever gulf exists between us and them will remain.

Cal knows his task and he knows what he has to do to be successful at Kentucky.

The day he doesn't think he can do that, he'll quit. He has said as much. Which is why I don't get as bent out of shape about stuff like recruiting wars or games like last night.

He'll adjust, or he won't be at Kentucky. Simple as that.

                              Item #1: New assistants.

Justus and Barbee, you gotta go. Sorry.

Bring back Coach O, and impress us with whatever NBA name KC talked about a few weeks ago.

That NBA name was Penny Hardaway. But we saw what happened there.

Have heard some stuff about other NBA guys, but the guy I was referring to a few weeks ago was Penny.
